I've been a fashion and beauty editor for just over 10 years now, so I really have honed the art of hunting down the very best deals on the best products. It's not just part of my job, it's also something I've done for friends and family for years – not to mention for my own sake. Naturally, then, the Black Friday deals are full of opportunity, particularly as they've now been running for over a week in some cases. But this Cyber Monday, as its known, the Black Friday beauty deals are still going strong. And I have to tell you that Amazon's Black Friday Sale is one of the very best options available.

I know that endless promises of discounts and reductions can feel overwhelming, which is why I've spent a lot of time today scrolling through Amazon's beauty deals, in order to find the only options worth your time and money. After all, this isn't about buying extra stuff you don't need for the sake of it, it's about making considered purchases of products you genuinely use, saving you money in the long-run.

There's over 20% off top-rated hair tools from ghd and Shark, huge savings on my favourite foundation from L'Oréal and even discounts on products loved by the likes of Kim Kardashian – she swears by this Color Wow spray for frizz-free hair, and there's now nearly 30% off. There's also reductions across brands like Kérastase, St.Tropez, Elemis, Garnier, Weleda, CeraVe and Medik8, meaning you can add elite skincare to your beauty routine for much less than usual. I even found an amazing (and affordable) beauty advent calendar in the sale.

Let me help you cut through the noise of thousands of products and bag the bargains that are actually worth it. But you'd better be quick – Amazon's big Black Friday sale ends at midnight tonight.

l'oreal paris advent calendar
Price: £68.99 (was £95)

I have to admit, there are few beauty advent calendars I would actually buy and this offering from L'Oréal is one of them. Not only is it packed with some of the brand's best products, including make-up, skincare and haircare, it's incredible value for money in the Amazon Black Friday sale. For less than £70, you'll get two of the famous Revitalift Filler products, four haircare products and a whole host of make-up, including four (!) mascaras. I use a lot of these products every day, so this is a very glamorous way to save myself a trip to Boots.

shark hair tool black monday sale
Price: £179 (was £269.99)

If you're not yet familiar with Shark's hair tool, prepare to be very excited indeed. Rachael Martin, beauty editor, has tested this styler multiple times and maintains that it is worth all of the hype it gets. She says: 'The set features four attachments that allow for easy curling, straightening, volumising, defining and smoothing. And good news, as it dries and styles without the need for extreme heat – the tool boasts impressive built in technology that measures heat 1,000 times per second ensuring consistent and gentle air temperatures. L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler
Price: £10 (was £31.99)

If you want a quick skin saviour, this is what you need to make a play for. It's loved by our beauty editors for plumping properties.

Aimee Jakes, trending content editor says, 'One product I rely on for a glug of hydration is L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler Serum, which is my secret for instantly plumped and dewy skin. It's recommended by many dermatologists for its surprisingly superior skincare ingredients, which include macro and micro hyaluronic acid molecules for multi-layered skin boosting. It's also a permanent fixture in many celebrity's bathroom cabinets, with everyone from Molly-Mae Hague to Eva Longoria touting its plumping benefits.'

elemis pro-collagen cleansing balm
Price: £28.08 (was £33.04)

Even if you haven't tried Elemis' Cleansing Balm, chances are you've heard people raving about it. One such person is our beauty editor, Rachael Martin, who says, 'I can safely say that this is my favourite cleansing balm of all time. It starts off as a solid formula but melts into a slightly milky, balmier texture that applies beautifully and doesn’t drag on the skin. I’ll work it into my complexion and watch as my make-up (including waterproof mascara) melts away. I have oily skin, and typically a balm has been known to break me out, but this one doesn’t. I use as the first step in my double cleansing routine alongside a gel-based cleanser and I’m rigorous about ensuring any remnants are swept off my skin promptly. This prevents any blocked pores. My skin is far from perfect, but now that I’ve adopted a more Elemis consistent skincare routine I’ve seen a marked improvement in how it looks.'

ghd Duet Blowdry Hair Dryer Brush
Price: £269 (was £379)

The infamous hairdryer brush, loved by beauty mavericks, is now on sale. This heat tool effortlessly transforms hair from wet to blow dried minus the heat damage.

Rachael Martin, beauty editor says, 'I was lucky enough to get my hands on a sample of the ghd Duet Blowdry back in April. Since then, it’s become integral to my hair routine. I've managed to whittle down my wash days to just twice a week and I've used this as the perfect excuse to get to grips with the tool over the past few months. I apply it to towel dried hair, initially rough-drying and then creating volume at the roots via a combination of tension and heat - I'll hold it in place for around 3 seconds. I'll then pull the brush through in a twisting motion to create the blowdried finish - the smaller the section the more pronounced the curl and the bigger the section the more voluminous the finish. I’ve also used it to refresh my dry hair for special occasions - but not without a hefty dose of heat protectant.'

Price: £3.99 (was £7.99)

Lauren Cunningham, acting fashion news editor, says: 'If glossy, plump lips are on your Christmas wish list, then the NYX Fat Oil definitely deserves a spot in your basket. Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector Repairing Hair Treatment
Price: £15.75 (was £28)

Georgia Scott, commercial content writer, says: 'For me, Olaplex is a non-negotiable part of my beauty routine. As someone with dyed blonde, dry and slightly heat-damaged hair, I rely on Olaplex's original No.3 treatment to repair broken bonds and give my hair some much-needed hydration. This pre-shampoo treatment gets to work in as little as 10 minutes and I noticeably see a difference in the condition and texture of my hair - especially on those pesky split ends. Simply apply on damp hair once or twice a week to see a complete transformation in any dryness and damage.'

cloud nine
Price: £98.80 (was £119)

Beauty editor Rachael Martin says: 'If you're after a versatile hair tong that offers the bounce of a blow dry as well as tighter, more glamorous waves then Cloud Nine's wand is just the ticket. It's been a favourite of mine for many years now (10!) and I've used the excuse of Black Friday to upgrade my trusty tool. There's some impressive stats too - the brand say that '85% of women said their hair felt and looked shinier, healthier and glossier,' and I can definitely attest to that - the clever, mineral-infused ceramic barrel keeps hair gleaming. Whack on the heat protector and you can't go wrong.'

st tropez bronzing water
Price: £9.89 (was £24)

I was sold hard on this product by Aimee Jakes, trending content editor, who told me: 'I have tried many face fake tans in my life, from luxe drops to glow-infused sleep masks, but the one formula I'm forever faithful to is the St Tropez Self-Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist. Why? Because it is faultless.

'The ultra-lightweight spritz delivers a naturally sun-kissed finish that looks as though you've just been galavanting around the Mediterranean. It's a clean formula carefully packed with non-comedogenic ingredients - meaning it won't block your pores - and it actually smells nice. The clincher for me is how easy it is to apply.'

aveeno calm serum
Price: £10.65 (was £15.99)

I have bought some of Aveeno's baby products for my nephew before and, through reading reviews, got an idea of how passionate people are about the brand's gentle formulae. Meg Sharma, senior SEO content strategist, said she is particularly passionate about this serum, which she uses so much, she's always running out of it. 'When I accidentally forgot all my SPF for a week (bad idea people) the Aveeno oat range saved me,' she says. 'Specifically, it was the Calm+Restore Triple Oat Serum. It actually made my skin feel hydrated hours after application and made its way into my permanent skincare routine. The lightweight formula is a joy to use, and the fact that its fragrance-free means I can use it without any worry of irritating my skin on its bad days. I recommend it to all my friends and will be stocking up this Black Friday.'

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
Price: £18.50 (was £28.50)

This product makes me feel so nostalgic because I first discovered it in my final year of school. I have to say, since then, I haven't found many setting sprays which do such a good job at keeping my make-up in place. I've given it to friends, who also use it every time they want to keep make-up looking fresh and I'd recommend it for nights out in particular. In that sense, it really does live up to its name.

L'Oréal Professionnel TECNI.ART Pli Heat Activated Styling Spray
Price: £13.34 (was £17.15)

Another recommendation from Aimee Jakes, trending content editor, she says: 'I love my Dyson Airwrap but found my curls would drop during the course of the day. But this is an overachiever for creating and preserving exquisitely Airwrapped curls. The heat-activated styling spray offers a fantastic yet flexible hold thanks to shape memory technology, delivering a beautiful frizz-free finish. I was initially influenced when I noticed hair stylists liberally applying it to my towel-dried tresses whenever I'd book in for a bouncy blow dry. Now, it's my non-negotiable to create mega volume at home, without making my hair crunchy or stiff.'

Lauren Cunningham, acting fashion news editor, says: 'Glitter eyeshadows are hit and miss. While some look super shiny in the pan, they often come out lacklustre, but that's certainly not the case with this Urban Decay find. A favourite brand of pro-makeup artists, moondust will deliver that instant glowy, sparkly finish perfect for any Christmas look.'

kerastase hair oil amazon sale
Price: £38.95 (was £58)

As far as hair oils go, this one has fairly spectacular reviews across the board. Sameeha Shaikh, Grazia's beauty writer (and self-confessed hair oil addict) says: 'I especially love how lightweight and fluid it is, unlike other finishing oils I've used it is more akin to a serum-oil hybrid and doesn't weigh your stands down in any way. Instead, I've found it diffuses instantly and I rarely need more than a pump or two to see the magic at play. My thick, wavy hair, which is prone to a fuzzy halo that I embrace on most days, responded well to the oil's softening and smoothing effects on the odd occasion when I'm opting for a sleek look, all without compromising my natural texture.'

ghd straighteners
Price: £145 (was £189)

The ghd straighteners are an iconic hair tool for a reason: they really do work better than any others. I have fine curly hair, so styling it to be straight is usually a real pain. When I use these, however, my hair is sleek and glossy in half the time and it stays like that all day (unless, of course, it rains). This pair is now under £150 in the sale, so I'd suggest you add to basket before they're gone.

One of the most popular setting sprays, this was recommended to me by Aimee Jakes, trending content editor. She said: 'If you want your make-up to stay put all day long, the L'Oreal Infalliable 3-Second Setting Spray is one of the best I've ever tried. It's completely transfer-proof and lightweight, making it the non-negotiable plus one for your upcoming Christmas parties. Plus, it doesn't flake across my face throughout the night (my number one bug bear). At £12.99, it was already a pretty affordable make-up bag essential, but a saving of 50% makes it even sweeter.'

While I haven't yet tried this product personally, many of my friends have said that it's one of the best cleansers they've tried. medik8 crystal retinal 3
Price: £34.99 (was £49)

This is the kind of product which, once people try it, they don't stop raving about the results. Georgia Scott, commercial content writer, says: 'My skin is pretty used to active ingredients, as I often incorporate an AHA exfoliant or a splash of vitamin C into my skincare routine but retinol is a slightly different ball game. Despite my concerns, I gently introduced my skin to Medik8's Crystal Retinal 3 and was thrilled with the results. If you are often intimidated by retinol, this one is perfect for beginners or those with sensitive skin to avoid any irritation or dreaded pealing. Once you've graduated from No. 3, you can progress through the range to ensure your skin builds up immunity to avoid any unwanted reactions other than super glowy and fresh-looking skin -  and don't forget SPF. Simply apply once a week before bed and start to see results, just like I did.'

curel spray
Price: £11.75 (was £19.50)

I have talked about this product to anybody who will listen – it's that good. I am extremely lazy when it comes to moisturising. I'm always really good at completing my facial skincare routine but, while I love the idea of being the type of person who has time to shower, moisturise and still be ready on time, I am normally in such a rush I leave the house with wet hair. Thankfully, I found Curél's Moisture Spray, which does exactly what that name would suggest. I really do just spray it lightly all over, rub it in and then I'm ready. I have been using it for about four months now and it's made my skin softer and smoother. I sometimes even spray it over make-up halfway through the day when my face feels dry or skin looks dull. I will be buying several cans now that it's on sale.

l'oreal true match
Price: £7.29 (was £10.99)

I'm really not exaggerating when I say that I can't live without this foundation. I mean, obviously I could, but I wouldn't want to go anywhere because it makes my skin look about 400 times better than usual. I have used this product for years – I live in fear of it ever being discontinued – and, while I've been lucky enough to try countless luxury foundations for my job, I've never found one I like more than this. It's lightweight, which I love, as I hate dense or cakey foundations, but still offers a good amount of coverage. Granted, if you're a full coverage, super matte finish kind of person, this may not be for you, but I find that it's the perfect everyday base. I've had so many people ask what I use on my skin and the answer is always this.

garnier vitamin c
Price: £6.99 (was £12.99)

It can be difficult to find an SPF that offers full protection (SPF50+) and the promise of a glowing complexion, but that's exactly what this Garnier product does. Georgia Scott, Grazia's commercial content writer and beauty obsessive, tried this earlier in the year and said she loved the results: 'I got my hands on this Glow Fluid version of the product and, as someone who wears SPF daily, I was instantly super impressed with how light the formula felt on my skin. At first, I was concerned that the tint was too dark for my skin tone but in fact it blends out into a sheer, glowing base that reminded me of Charlotte Tilbury's Hollywood Flawless Filter. One of my essentials when shopping for a new SPF is that the product needs to feel light on the skin, and not only does this fluid feel lightweight but also super hydrating.'

e45 cream
Price: £7.97 (was £12.49)

I know this isn't the sexiest of beauty buys but I have to tell you it's saved my skin, so any time there's an offer on, I will take advantage. In winter months, especially, this is a God-send, offering deeply healing hydration to prevent skin from becoming cracked and dry. My dry skin got so bad at one point that only prescription creams from the doctor would relieve it – until I tried this. Now, I can't be without a tub of this at home, so I'm very happy indeed that's it's on sale today.

cerave cleanser
Price: £9.64 (was £14.50)

Often, we're lured into thinking that the more expensive a product, the better it is. That's not always the case, though, especially when it comes to skincare. This CeraVe cleanser is proof enough – it's always under £15 but is now even more affordable thanks to Amazon's Black Friday deals. Chloé Burcham, a beauty editor with years of experience, says it's the one product she's never without: 'While salicylic acid is known for its ability to temper breakouts, this cleanser is also great for dry, dehydrated skin types. It cleanses deep into my pores without stripping skin, and that's thanks to CeraVe’s patented triple ceramide complex, so it doesn't deplete your skin's essential moisture levels.'
