Made In Chelsea Bali and Bonjour Baby signalled the end of another season of the hit reality show. Last year was another dramatic year for the Kings Roaders. However, fans are wondering which cast members will be returning after fan favourite Emily Blackwell revealed she is undecided about her future on the show.
Emily's most recent storyline was in Bali and centred around her ongoing tension with her ex-boyfriend Harvey Armstrong. After a rocky breakup the pair decided to stay friends but as more rumours about his infidelity popped up Emily was convinced that Harvey never told her the full truth. This led to an almighty argument and has left viewers divided.
Chatting to her followers on Instagram Emily confessed she doesn't know if she will feature in the next season of Made in Chelsea. One of her fans asked, 'Love you on MIC, will u be in the next season?' Emily offered a honest response and told her followers, 'Thank you - I'm not actually sure. I haven't made a decision on what I want to do.'
Emily has been on the show since 2016 and has never expressed any ambivalence about continuing in the show before - perhaps all the drama with Harvey has led to her feeling overwhelmed on the show. During an interview on the Playtime podcast Emily said that she no longer wants to speak to Harvey again after their Bali drama - this might be quite hard considering they film a reality show together...
She said, 'I went with the intention of being very nice and friendly with Harvey and then - you guys will watch it - it doesn’t quite end that way which is sad. She continued, 'There is no need for me to engage with Harvey anymore. That was the final straw for me. I wanted some answers. He didn’t understand it and that’s fine and we’ll leave it at that really.'
Emily has now moved on with her new boyfriendJordan Alexander, but as we saw in the Bali episodes being around Harvey still seems to be challenging for their new relationship.
Coincidentally, Emily's BFF Miles Nazairealso previously contemplated leaving the show this year. During an episode of his podcast Miles revealed that he is 'definitely thinking about' taking a break from the show. He also admitted that he has started conversations with production about leaving. Miles said, 'It’s not a confirmation or a definite I’m not doing [Made in] Chelsea next year, but we’ll see how the conversation goes.'
Miles explained that the way he has been portrayed on the show has led to doubt. 'Recent times [on the show], I think I’ve had a bit of a backlash,' Miles said. 'A lot of people who know me, know that’s not a true representation of who I am. Adding, ;Doing a show for the last five years, and let’s be real, my ‘character’ on the show has been the fuck boy. There’s a part of me that’s a bit sick of it.'
Now, cast changes happen all the time on reality shows but the loss of personalities like Emily and Miles would be an end of an era for the show. They are both major characters who always have an ongoing storylines. However, nothing has been confirmed so let's wait and see what they decide.
