best black friday toys deals

The most unexpectedly stressful thing about having kids at Christmas is everyone wants to know what to get them - which means I spend a lot of time from basically June onwards until Black Friday keeping a note of the toys they play with the most at friends’ houses, what they’re enjoying the most at school or nursery, or engaging in meandering and often fruitless conversations about what they might like from Santa this year (my son, last time I asked him: ‘A magic ninja suit that shoots fire out of the arms if I wave my arms about, or if I just shout “fire”’).

The idea is that I’ll have a comprehensive list, that reflects a variety of price points, our current toy/space situation and my children’s interests. In reality they’ve normally moved on completely by the time it gets to November and I’m back to square one.

But, it does mean I am very invested in finding the best children’s Black Friday toy deals. Here are some of the toy’s I’ve earmarked for my own children, or for friends this year - plus a few things we already have, that my sons absolutely love.

When Does Black Friday Toys Deals End?

For 2024, Black Friday is today (29th November), it's a lot later than previous years and we've all had to wait patiently for pay day to arrive, but that means it's perfect timing to get started on Christmas shopping. In my experience of covering many Black Friday events, Black Friday sales normally finish the day after Cyber Monday which falls this year on Monday 2nd November, so you still have the weekend to snap up what's still in stock.

Black Friday Toys Deals FAQs

Which shops have the best Black Friday Toys Deals?

All of the biggest and best retailers are in on the action, which means more choice for us. Very has up to 50% selected toys, and they are typically a reliable brand when it comes to Black Friday. John Lewis has some impressive savings on LEGO and more and Natural Baby Shower has 40% off sitewide.

What is better Yoto Player or Tonieboxes

They make our Christmas wishlist every year and kids love them. But what is the verdict on Yoto vs Tonie? It's not straightforward, and both brands have great sales on. You can see our Tonieboxes Black Friday sale picks here or head over to Yoto best Black Friday deals here. To make it simple though, it depends on the budget you set aside, Tonieboxes have all but sold out on Amazon, with the prices shooting back up to £200+ for some bundles after having 20% off on some characters not available on Tonies own site - there is still 20% off but you'll have to have a play around to find the right Creatives. Yoto Players are not as stylishly creative, playing stories from story cards but they're a lot more affordable and it's got some great savings to be had before Black Friday ends on December 2nd.
