Ah, Made in Chelsea - the long running reality show that we will always have a soft spot for. We’ve witnessed classic characters come and go… Remember Millie Mackintosh slapping cheating Spencer Matthews, or who could forget everyone being up in Lucy Watson’s ‘grill’? From dramatic dinner parties, lunch at the Blue Bird and Jamie Laing confessing to many a girl that he loves them – we’ve seen it all.

Whilst the cast changes, the drama remains and one person who consistently understands this assignment is Maeva D'Ascanio. Love her or hate her – Maeva is a made for reality TV. If it wasn’t for her French accent, we would have easily thought that she hailed from Chelsea originally. From her witty one liners to her sharp humour, she is well on on her way to being an unforgettable MIC personality.

We must admit, when she arrived on Kings Road – we had to take some time to suss her out. Maeva hit our screens in a fiery whirlwind in series 17, bringing her 'hot temper' with her. She entered the show as Miles Nazaire's ex-girlfriend and stirred the pot between Olivia Bentley and her ex-boyfriend Digby Edgley (Fast forward to today, who would have thought that Olivia and Maeva would now be thick as thieves?) She strutted on to the Chelsea scene, spoke her mind and was unapologetic. For many fans it took a while to warm to her and despite her often wild statements – many admit she makes the show.

On this season of Made in Chelsea she has dominated the storylines from her breakup with James Taylor, to her love triangle with Miles and Ruby Adler. We have watched her main character status bubbling over the past few series, as she is unafraid to be in the centre of the drama. This series is truly her's for the taking – there’s never a dull moment with Maeva.

Here are all the reasons why Maeva is reality TV gold.

1. Her unique way with words

Maeva just has her own special way with words – everything she says is unintentionally funny. From telling her boyfriend she can’t stand his presence during an argument or just shutting people down casually. There’s no point even trying to argue with Maeva (although she did meet her match with Sophie Hermannand her beloved Mink.)

2. All the dramatics

A good reality TV star needs the drama and Maeva gives us this – whether it’s in French or English she’s got it. I think her French accent elevates the drama, as do her facial expressions. She makes a huge deal out of even the tiniest of things, which could be seen as funny or annoying - either way it’s gripping to watch.

3. She's the queen of stirring the pot

It’s essential to have characters like Maeva – she stirs the pot and pushes the storyline along each episode. Remember last series when she went up to couple (who are no more) Ruby and Reza Amiri-Garroussi and announced how close Ruby and Miles were becoming in his absence. Or the time when she told Emily Blackwelljust how two-faced she was. She just loves to stir the pot and we love watching it. After dropping her truth bombs she flaunts off into the distance leaving her opponent either stunned or speechless.

4. Her chaotic energy

Last night she pretty much told Miles she wants to have sex with him. We never know what Maeva we are going to get each episode. She goes from shouting, to crying, to horny within the space of three minutes. This unpredictability just creates a character we are all heavily invested in. What is she going to do next?

It’s safe to say Maeva is quickly becoming a character people either love or love to hate – which is perfect for TV. Can you just imagine if Maeva and Spencer Matthews were on the show at the same time? They would have had King’s Road in absolute turmoil. What’s next for Maevea? Who knows, your guess is as good as mine.
