As the fashion world is very much in its quiet luxury era, it probably won't come as a surprise that one of the brands making a return is Longchamp. Ever since Sofia Richie got married in a lavish ceremony in the South of France, all we've spoken about since is the old money aesthetic, and the French handbag brand is synonymous with just that.

Unlike some designer bags that come emblazoned with motifs and logos, the appeal of the Longchamp has always been its minimalism. The Le Pliage line which launched back in 1993 emerged as a global icon, with a long list of celeb fans including Alexa Chung and Kate Middleton, who was spotted wearing the classic bag during her graduation from St Andrews in 2005, and in countless royal visits since.

Le Pliage Collection M Shoulder BagLongchamp

The newest addition to the Le Pliage family is this green floral style, which features an adjustable decorative-bow handle, one inner zipped pocket and artichoke label. The Le Pliage is, of course, one of Longchamp's most popular style, but this new iteration feels completely new as well as whimsical. The style also comes in a pink gingham print named 'blush.'

Longchamp's infamous foldable nylon Le Pliage has recently made its return, particularly amongst Gen Z who have hailed it the 'it' bag on TikTok, but there are countless other styles that have proved popular, too. Now, the brand have unveiled a whimsical celebration of nature with its latest ready-to-wear collection, and besides the fact it hasn't been launched long, people are already obsessed. Aptly named The Vegetable Patch, nature's bounty (fruit and veg) has become the canvas for its latest designs. The collection is also a subtle nod to the idyllic charm of Parisian countryside life, offering a modern take on classic prints, and designs that are, well, very much spring-appropriate.

Le Roseau XS HandbagLongchamp

The Le Roseau bag is perhaps Longchamp's most sophisticated style, boasting a gold bamboo clasp, adjustable and removable shoulder strap and one inner zipped pocket. The appeal in this bag lies in the fact it can be either dressed up or down - for a casual outfit, style with jeans and a plain tee, or for something more polished, add a black satin dress and cowboy boots.

Besides the Le Pliage, there are plenty of other Longchamp styles to get your hands on. Whether you prefer a practical Le Roseau, or you're a sucker for a Filet L Mesh moment for Euro summer, there's a Longchamp style for everyone.

A basket bag for summer is almost like a scarf for winter - a necessity. Longchamp have just released its basket bag offering, in the form of a slightly larger Le Pliage tote, complete with outer pocket, clip accessory and cowhide leather reinforcement. Available in three different colours: artichoke, brown and blush, it's the perfect bag to take to the beach, then to dinner afterwards.

Smoothie M Crossbody BagLongchamp

For spring, the Smoothie style has also been reinvented to include a design that can be worn crossbody as well as on the shoulder. Longchamp refers to the new look as 'ergonomic' thanks to the fact it has been expertly made to hug your body when worn. The Smooth M Crossbody Bag also comes in clay and orange.

Le Roseau S Crossbody BagLongchamp

The Le Roseau style also comes with a crossbody strap, making it an excellent day bag as well as an evening one. Crafted from grained cowhide leather, this crossbody bag has two card slots inside and a surprisingly roomy interior (because let's be honest - other than a lip gloss what else do we need?)

If you're into a micro bag to accessorise an outfit, Longchamp have released its smallest size bag in the quirky spring print too. Made to be worn crossbody with a handy longer strap, this bag will add a pop of colour into any spring outfit.

Longchamp Le Pliage

The Le Pliage which first took form back in 1993 is effortlessly chic, endlessly versatile and loved by everyone, from bustling city commuters to glamorous jet-setters alike. The Épure XS is a relatively new addition to the Longchamp family, and this bag is most definitely the fashion pack's answer to 'small but mighty.' Although it's not the most practical Longchamp bag, it's a summer best seller.

Longchamp Le Pliage Original Pouch

The Le Pliage Original Pouch is a tiny accessory with a large personality. Think of it as the (much) more couture version of that Mary Poppins bag, except it's smaller, sleeker and way more on-trend. Crafted from Longchamp's signature nylon, it's the perfect blend of practicality and panache. Plus, it can be slipped inside a larger tote, or worn by itself. To style the Le Pliage Pouch, you're going to need some statement gold accessories and either a linen dress or a funky waistcoat.

If the bigger Le Pliage sizes are too big for you, why not try something super mini?

Longchamp Le Roseau

The Longchamp Le Roseau has a more structured silhouette compared to other collections, and features a bamboo clasp. With a long shoulder strap or a shorter handle, this bag is quintessentially Longchamp, in a more elevated fashion. Pair the ecru bucket bag with other neutral or earthy tones for a more sophisticated look, add some cat eye sunglasses and black ballet pumps, and you're good to go.

This bag has some unique features, like an intricate bamboo closure and removable handles. It's also available in four different colours; ecru, black, khaki and paprika.

Longchamp Daylong

With sleek lines and a more polished finish, the Daylong bag plays on the usual style of a bowling bag, except it comes with a nifty long shoulder strap too. You'll notice the bag is without any large branding or logos, so you can ace the 'quiet luxury' with ease.

Daylong S HandbagLongchamp

Longchamp's answer to an evening bag, the Daylong is noticeably more formal than its other designs, even though there are still some defining Longchamp features in this bag. Like the zipper closure with horse motif, for example.

Do Longchamp bags last?

Longchamp bags are renowned for their durability and timeless appeal, which is why they've never truly gone out of style the same way other handbags have - take the Prada Nylon Mini Bag as an example. From the resilient nylon of the Le Pliage collection, to the sumptuous leather of the Le Roseau line, each and every Longchamp bag is built to last, year after year and trend after trend, even if you're guilty (much like us) of overfilling your tote.
