Buckingham Palace has just dropped the hottest new accessory of fashion month, Meghan Markle’s engagement ring. Or, a replica of it at least. That’s right, you can now purchase a ring inspired by the Duchess of Sussex’s very own diamond engagement ring straight from Buckingham Palace’s Royal Collection for less than you’ve spent on your lunch this week.
‘The three-crystal ring is made of sparkling crystals set on a palladium plated metal,’ the ring description reads, ‘The design of this new statement range, is inspired by the engagement ring of Meghan Markle.’ Named the Buckingham Palace Statement Ring, it is priced at just £30 and is still in stock (but we don’t imagine for long).
The Royal Collection is ‘one of the largest and most widely distributed arts collections in the world’, and represents the personal tastes of kings and queens over the last 500 years. The Royal Collection shop, therefore, sells various jewellery, homeware and gifts inspired by the royal family.
The resemblance to Meghan’s own ring is uncanny. Of course, it’s a far cry from the Botswana sourced diamond Meghan sports on her own finger. Her engagement ring reportedly cost £140,000 and was made up of one central 3ct diamond and two round diamonds either side that belonged to Princess Diana.
Available to buy on their website now, the replica ring also comes in a white box marked with H & M gold lettering (not to be confused with the store H&M, naturally). So basically, if you want a Duchess-approved jewellery collection, you only need to sacrifice you're weekly takeaway and you'll be royal ready in no time.
Of course, Meghan-effect incoming, we don't doubt this ring will be available for long, so snap it up now if you're Meghan-inspired jumper, favourite sunglasses and £300 self-portrait dress isn't quite cutting it...
