After stepping out in a fashion-forward Altuzarra day dress and Black Halo’s cult favourite Jackie O LBD in the past few days, Meghan Markle has pulled off a heatwave style hat trick with her latest choice: a green floral dress with pleated skirt, cold shoulders, a low neckline and cut-out detailing on the bodice, courtesy of ‘it’ label Self-Portrait, worn for a reception at the Australian High Commission celebrating the forthcoming Sydney Invictus Games.
The dress in question, which Meghan paired with a smart black blazer, black court shoes and her trademark cross-body bag, is priced at £300 and is still available on the brand’s website in a number of sizes, though we imagine if you want to own a piece of Meghan-approved summer style (wedding guest dress inspiration, anyone?) you’ll certainly have to move fast, as everything the future Duchess wears has a habit of selling out in a matter of moments.
This isn’t the first time that Meghan has worn the label, which is the brainchild of Malaysian designer Han Chong. The future royal was photographed wearing Self-Portrait’s nightshade midi dress en route to the Queen’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace, but was a fan of the brand way before she started to navigate the media storm that came with dating Prince Harry: she was photographed wearing the Self-Portrait Teardrop guipure lace dress in pale blue back in 2016 at a lunch for the 2016 College Women of the Year winners, having served as a mentor for the winners in question in her capacity as an advocate for WorldVision and a UN Women Advocate for Women’s Leadership and Political Participation.

Self-Portrait previously garnered the royal seal of approval back in November 2016, when Kate Middleton chose a pleated crochet maxi dress for the red carpet premiere of A Streetcat Named Bob.
While it’d certainly be a push to speculate that Self-Portrait will be on wedding dress duties come May 19th (the brand focus on ready-to-wear occasionwear, rather than bespoke styles), we can definitely expect to see Meghan continue to spotlight the label at future royal engagements.
