When it comes to getting down to this sick beat, no one does it like Taylor Swift. We've all seen that Met Ball dance off with Tom Hiddleston, but now we've been treated to an insight into a casual evening's dance practice chez Swift.
Taylor's latest ad for Apple Music, which follows her treadmill meltdown to Drake and her freakout to Jimmy Eat World, sees the singer relaxing at home on a Friday night with her Apple playlist. 'I love a quiet night at home,' she sighs. So far, so casual - except for the fact that we're pretty sure this isn't Taylor's actual house. There aren't enough cat ornaments, for one thing.
What song does a platinum selling, Taylor Swift award winning artist choose as her Friday jam? 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' by The Darkness. Yes, really - a song that you last heard on Radio Two in 2003, complete with '70s guitar solos and dangerous levels of falsetto.
What follows is just under a minute of the singer lipsyncing energetically and throwing herself around the room in the way that Taylor Swift does so, so well. We feel tired just watching it.
Is Swift's brand power enough to kickstart a Darkness revival? We're not sure, but Tay's 'Friday' playlist also includes moody early noughties classics like 'Chop Suey!' by System of a Down and Alien Ant Farm's cover of 'Smooth Criminal.' How about 2003 for your next album title, Taylor?
