She's been singing about fairytale romances since her cowboy boots and country music days, and it seems that these days Taylor Swift is starring in her very own Love Story.

In her recent cover feature for US Vogue, the Taylor Swift award winning singer opened up about what it's really like to be one half of Instagram's first couple.

'I'm in a magical relationship right now,' she said. 'And of course I want it to be ours, and low key [...] This is the one thing that's been mine about my personal life.'

Is anyone else getting serious throwbacks to old school Taylor lyrics? We're humming along to Speak Now era sobfests Enchanted and Mine already...

While we might have raised our eyebrows at the thought of 'Talvin' being a 'low key' romance (case in point: that Instagram-fest of an anniversary holiday), we're just pleased that Taylor is finally living in one of her own music videos (we mean one of the happy ones, not the ones where she's been spurned by a boy with a dramatic fringe)...

Taylor also touched on her much-publicised romantic history in the interview. 'I went out on a normal amount of dates in my early 20s, and I got absolutely slaughtered for it,' she said. 'It took a lot of hard work and altering my decision making. I didn't date for two and a half years. Should I have had to do that? No.' We quite agree - when was the last time a male celebrity got called up on dating a normal amount of women? Exactly...

While Taylor's infamous girl gang may have been called into question recently - with Chloé Grace Moretz claiming that she'd turned down an invitation to join the squad - the singer remains pragmatic about rumours and naysayers. 'There are a lot of really easy ways to dispel rumours [...] If the rumour is that you have fake friendships, all you have to do is continue to be there for each other, and when we're all friends in 15 years and raising our kids together, maybe somebody will look back and go "That was kind of ridiculous what we said about Taylor and her friends."'

Looks like history will be the ultimate judge when it comes to the squad...
