Does the documentary capture the first moment she saw the dress?

Remember last month when news broke that the Queen had hidden away a 1969 documentary about the Royal Family because she didn’t want to cheapen their brand with a reality show? Well, the Kardashian-effect has clearly had an impact, because next Tuesday we’re about to get an ultra-exclusive peek into her world when Queen Of The World airs on ITV.

The documentary stands to give us an inside look at how the Queen is passing down her royal duties to younger generations, with Meghan Markle making her first televised appearance as a royal. It comes after over a year of filming with behind the scenes access to The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate plus Prince Harry and Meghan.

With the trailer dropping last night, everyone is now talking about one key moment, where Meghan Markle can be seen revisiting her Givenchy wedding dress that she wore exactly four months ago to this day. Smiling lovingly at the dress, she can be heard saying ‘fifty-three countries, oh my goodness. It’ll keep us busy,’ in reference to the hand-embroidered flowers from each of the 53 countries in the Commonwealth.

The reaction proves that while the documentary may be centered around the Queen, all eyes will be on Meghan Markle and how she’s adapting to her Duchess status. And since it’s been filmed for over a year, we may even get a peek into her pre-wedding mindset, especially since in the clip featured in the trailer she seems to be wearing the navy Roland Mouret dress she wore the day before her wedding…

We can only wait and hope to see just how in-depth the documentary is, which airs at 9.15pm on ITV next Tuesday, but with a trailer like this, we have big dreams…
