With the final of Winter Love Island 2023 airing tonight, fans were glued to their screens over the weekend hoping to find out which four had made it through, but unfortunately the news didn’t come in the way viewers anticipated…

In a trailer for Sunday’s Aftersun episode in which Maya Jama confirmed that she would be talking to the villa’s latest dumped islanders, fans could clearly see Will Young and Jessie Wynter in the studio leading them to correctly suspect that the farmer and his Australian girlfriend had come in fifth place.

And naturally fans were fuming and took to Twitter in their droves to complain about this latest Love Island mistake saying, ‘Are the producers okay… why’d they just ruin it on Aftersun?’ and ‘NOT THE AFTERSUN ADVERT REVEALING THE DUMPED COUPLE BEFORE THE DUMPING’S BEEN SHOWN’. The all-caps means you know they’re livid!

Not only that, but Maya Jama had also made a similar slip up earlier that evening when she shared an Aftersun behind-the-scenes clip to her Instagram stories in which you could clearly see Will and Jessie in the background.

Having said that, because it’s Maya and she’s been the best thing to happen to Love Island, we of course forgive her. She also did delete the video mere minutes later after realising her mistake.

So - however you found out that Will and Jessie have left the Love Island villa - this now means that Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, Tom Clare and Samie Elishi and Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga are our final four and will be battling it out tonight for the £50,000 and to be crowned our Winter Love Island 2023 champions.

Speaking about coming in fifth place, Jessie admitted, ‘It would have been nice for us to get to the final, but I’ve left the villa with Will and he’s my boyfriend so that’s good.

‘I’m heading to Will’s for the interim. I’m very excited to go there and then I’ll be moving to London! Samie and I were going to look at apartments so we’ll see how all of that goes.’
