Last night on Made In Chelsea viewers were delighted to watch Maeva swill Sam Prince during a heated argument. Dare I say are we returning to the Made In Chelsea glory days? You know when Binky, Lucy Watson and Spencer Matthews ruled Kings Road? It might be a stretch but that was one of the most dramatic moments we've seen in a while. Naturally Maeva - being Maeva, made the dramatic move because Sam Prince was leading her boyfriend, James Taylor astray. He was trying to entice James to break up with her stating she 'wasn't good enough' for him.
'I don't trust Sam Prince, I don't like him - I'm genuinely scared, ' Maeva D'Ascanio expressed to Emily Blackwell. For Maeva the Ice Queen to admit he is a threat, it must be true. There has been a lot of differing opinions of Sam Prince over the years - this season he has gone from two women fighting over his affections, to Maeva labelling him 'the devil on James' shoulder.' The Kings Roaders opinion of him has completly flipped in a short space of time. Even the most lovable of them all, Olly Locke has expressed doubt over how genuine he is. Viewers will also have their opinions - but is he trustworthy?
History has shown that he's not - remember when he cheated on Georgia 'Toff' Toffolo in her bed? Let's not forget that after cheating, he slept with Toff the very next day and didn't change the sheets. Sam also cheated on a girl he was dating Jemima five times with four different girls. However, a person isn't defined by their past, so let's stay in the present.
More recently he was seeing both Verity Bowditch and Inga Valentinerwhilst telling them completely different versions of events (classic MIC.) After settling this and choosing to make Inga his girlfriend, he still withheld information and coincidently left out that he kissed Verity. We hear Sam tell James, 'You will make the biggest mistake of your life marrying Maeva right now.' Sam seems very set on the fact that Maeva is not right for his pal - which is quite rich coming from someone who cheats and leads women on.
During the heated argument with Maeva, Sam looks like he's enjoying it and has a very smug look on his face. Seeing Maeva get enraged only fuelled him on more as he continually gaslighted her throughout the whole conversation. He referred to Maeva as being insecure and seems to get a thrill out of goading women. His own girlfriend Inga even admits, 'He like's being the shit stirrer.' Not a good look!
I think anyone in Maeva's shoes would be worried about a boyfriends 'friend' having such a strong opinion about their relationship. James is not innocent either and should stand up for his relationship too at a time when it is clearly crumbling - but Sam getting involved isn't helping.
Sam is clearly not a trustworthy character and we are here for Maeva telling him exactly how it is and wiping the smile off his face. Time will tell if Sam can redeem himself with the Kings Roaders and viewers alike.
