Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney faced off two years ago in court for the infamous Wagatha Christie trial, but the pair could now possibly face a very different kind of trial.

If you need a refresher, in the summer of 2022 there was a battle of the WAGS, and Coleen emerged the victor when a judge found her claims that fellow footballer’s wife Rebekah Vardy leaked stories about her to the press were ‘substantially true’. Becky was then forced to cover 90% of Coleen’s legal fees, which came to a whopping £1.8 million.

Now, Coleen is competing in I’m a Celeb over in Australia alongside a whole host of familiar faces including McFLy's Danny Jones and Dancing on Ice's Oti Mabuse. There are rumours that Rebekah Vardy hasn’t had enough of her opponent yet, and she might head Down Under to face off against Coleen one last time.

Is Rebekah Vardy going on I’m a Celeb?

The answer, we suspect, is no. Rebekah was already a campmate on the show back in 2017 where she was the third star to be eliminated, and while she could make a grand return à la Katie Price in 2009, it’s looking unlikely. These rumours likely began when she was spotted on 19th November at Heathrow airport alongside her husband, footballer Jamie Vardy, but fans will be disappointed to learn that the pair were reportedly jetting off to Dubai rather than Australia.

What has Rebekah Vardy said about Coleen on I’m a Celeb?

Coleen has already opened up to her fellow campmates about the Wagatha Christie ordeal, and Rebekah has made it known that she’s not too happy with her name being brought up on the show. She took umbrage with Ant and Dec’s jibes at her expense— ‘It'll be nice for Coleen to face a trial that doesn't involve Rebekah Vardy’ and ‘Coleen talks about the trial of the century and recovering her legal costs from Rebekah Vardy,’ ‘And in case you are wondering, that money went straight into... Coleen Rooney's account.’

In her column in The Sun, Vardy wrote, ‘So, apart from lame jokes from Ant and Dec, who've also had their share of scandals in the past—easy tigers—who writes their scripts anyway? It's been a fantastic episode.’

She also wrote that watching Coleen’s boat sink in the river was ‘the gift that keeps on giving,’ so there’s clearly still tension between the WAGs.

How much was Rebekah Vardy paid for I’m a Celeb?

Coleen made headlines when it was reported that she had been offered the highest I’m a Celeb payout in the show’s history at £1.5million. Rebekah’s deal back in 2017, although it was never confirmed, likely paled in comparison. The highest earning campmate of Rebekah’s year was Amir Khan, who received £250,000 for his stint in the jungle. However, lesser-known stars like Jack Maynard — who was removed from camp not long into the series when offensive tweets were uncovered— received £25,000.
