For anyone who was a fan of The White Lotus’ resident cheeky chappy Jack (so that’s anyone with eyes, then?) there’s good news, because actor Leo Woodall is about to take on his next major role in a Netflix adaptation of David Nicholls' bestseller One Day.
Leo played charming-Essex-boy-with-a-dark-secret Jack in The White Lotus, but now he’s set to show his more sentimental side playing romantic lead Dexter Mayhew opposite This Is Going To Hurt’s breakout star Amika Mob as his love interest Emma Morley.
The Netflix series follows the 2011 film adaptation of One Day starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. Any adaptation of such a beloved novel comes with a lot of pressure, but we're so excited for it.
And now that Netflix have released the official trailer for One Day, we're even more excited.

What is One Day about?
David Nicholls’ 2009 novel tells the story of two students, Dexter Mayhew and Emma Morley, who meet the day before their graduation from the University of Edinburgh. The pair share a instant connection, but - with the rest of their lives ahead of them - they soon to embark on very separate paths.
One Day follows Dexter (Leo Woodall) and Emma (Ambika Mob) as they grow into lives very different from the people they once dreamed they’d become.
‘Over 20 years, snapshots of that relationship are revealed on the same day — July 15th — of each year. Dex and Em face squabbles and fights, hopes and missed opportunities, laughter and tears,' reads the book's blurb. 'And as the true meaning of this one crucial day is revealed, they must come to grips with the nature of love and life itself.’
Each chapter finds Dex and Em, one year older, on this one particular date, as they grow and change, move together and apart, experience joy and heartbreak.
Who stars in Netflix's One Day?
