Love Islandviewers, you are in for a Friday night treat as producers are still riding the wave of dramato bring us 'A Couple Of Sorts' - aka the ranking challenge.

While the islanders have discovered public opinions in varying challenges over the years - including the much-mourned tweet task - this season will mirror those of 2018 and 2021. The cast has to rank decisions on numerous categories in first, second and third place, in a bid to match the results of the public. If they are right, they receive a point and will be one step closer to winning a party later in the episode.

And it looks as though it won't fall short of stirring the pot, especially considering previous categories have included, 'most annoying couples', 'most one-sided couples' and 'couples most likely to cheat'.

The islanders receive a text which gets straight into the nitty gritty. It reads, 'Islanders, it’s time to find out how the public rate you as couples. If you guess enough opinions correctly, you will win a party tonight! #CouplePolls #TopRankers.'

As Samie Elishi says, 'I'm sweating,' Shaq Muhammad chimes in with, 'This is going to end in tears.'

Hosted by fan-favourites Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, the first category is the top three hottest couples in the villa.

It then progresses from looks to books as the islanders are asked to rank the top three intelligent couples.

When asked to select the top three horniest couples, Will throws out to one of the frisky pairs, 'Your duvet does some madness.'

As the game continues, they agree to disagree whilst tackling some trickier categories. They are asked to rank the three couples they think are the most one-sided and the most likely to have their heads turned.

However, things take a dramatic turn when they are told to pick the top three game-playing couples. Ron Hall jokes, 'I don’t think anyone’s going to volunteer for this one.'

When Will Young suggests Tanya Manhenga and Shaq Muhammad, Tanya says defiantly, 'I’m not going up there, I’m sorry guys.'

And it won't be just Tanya's cage that is rattled in tonight's episode. A preview clip shows Shaq saying during the challenge, 'Ron just made Lana [Jenkins] his girlfriend because everyone likes Lana.'

The Essex boy retorts with, 'That's outrageous. I got f*ck all comment on that.'
