Love Island All Stars Is Rumoured To Be In The Works

I know what you're thinking - this rumour is almost too good to be true! According to reports, iconic Love Islandcontestants could be returning for an All Stars edition of the reality show in 2024. Yes, your favourite Islanders could be strutting back into the villa for another chance at love. As the 10th anniversary of the show approaches, this would be the perfect time to shake up the format.

According to The Sun, ITV are currently exploring the possibility of an All Stars series, with the broadcaster already set to trial the same format for I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!All Stars version airing later this year. The publication revealed, 'Love Island All Stars is in development at ITV and it is a concept they have been talking about. This summer’s season marks the 10th season of the show and ITV thinks there is an appetite for the concept.'

'The plan would be to invite some of the sexiest and most successful former islanders to see if they can find love for a second time around.' The source also revealed that Maura Higgins, Sophie Piper and Kady McDermott are 'top of ITV's wish list,' while boys being considered reportedly include Kem Cetinayand Scott Thomas.

Naturally, the internet are extremely excited about the possibility of returning iconic contestants. One person tweeted, ' If they choose the right Islanders this could be everything.' Another said, ' I need my girls Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole back.' This fan was already onboard with the potential casting choices commenting, 'The possibility of Maura Higgins returning to the villa gives me goosebumps.'

However, others have doubted how authentic a show with returning contestants could be. A fan tweeted, 'Whats the point of All Stars when they already know what the public think of them?' Another said, 'How will this work? They all already know each other.'

However, it is rumoured that ITV are still deciding wether to go ahead with the new format. The source added, 'ITV want to see how well their All Stars version of I’m a Celebrity goes down before they start moving forward with Love Island. They will be watching very closely how the public and fans react and will be taking down notes.'
