It seems as though Love Island set a precedent last year when it sent 2018’s Adam Collard back into the villa – word on the street is that TWO former Islanders could be about to make their return.
According to betting website MyBettingSites.com, 2019’s Joe Garret – who was initially coupled with Lucie Donlan before getting booted from the Island - is the bookies’ favourite to take another shot at finding love, with odds of 2/1. Also in the top five are Arabella Chi from the same series, 2021s’ Liam Reardon who’s single after splitting from Millie Court, and last year’s Islander (and Adam Collard’s ex) Paige Thorne.
Joe added fuel to the fire when he posted an Instagram story on Wednesday with the caption, ‘Some exciting news coming tomorrow, and yes, it may involve a certain island…’.
Anti-climatically, though, he failed to follow up on his promise and as of now it’s still unconfirmed whether he’ll be entering the villa or not this weekend.
However, despite the picture painted by the gambling odds, The Sun reports that the two former Islanders about to enter the villa could be coming from the show’s international series, with spin of versions drawing huge audiences from theUSA to Australia.
‘The two new international recruits are essentially professional bombshells and won’t just shake up the villa - they’ll blow it apart,’ a source told the publication.
‘Both of them bed-hopped, bonked and had blistering rows on their seasons of Love Island. And neither has a shred of British restraint about them. They’re going to create explosive telly, just like they did the first time round.
‘They are exactly what this series needs to cause some serious drama.’
Not a shred of British restraint? If scenes from last night are anything to go by, this year’s Islanders left their restraint back in Blighty after Haris and Shaq were separated after nearly coming to blows in a disagreement over Tanya. It all kicked off when new guy David picked Tanya, coupled up with Shaq to go on a date with - but it was Haris who felt the full force of Shaq’s dented pride when he dared ask how their kiss was, with Shaq accusing of him of ‘shit stirring’.
