After what feels like an eternity, we finally have a date for when Euphoria is returning to our screens for its highly anticipated third season - and it's sooner than fans think.
Casey Bloys, the head of HBO, has confirmed that Euphoria’s third season will return in spring 2026, although he didn't reveal an exact release date. Starring emerging acting royalty such as Zendaya, Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney, the show follows Rue (Zendaya), a teenager struggling with drug addiction who tries to fit back into school after a stint in rehab.
Bloy also spoke about the future of Euphoria once season 3 has aired, which is rumoured to be the last instalment. 'We always leave it up to producers, you never know,' he told Deadline. 'I’ve never had a show with that many legitimate movie stars. So as you can imagine, the scheduling is hard enough with actors having multiple jobs, but these are probably three or four of the biggest movie stars working of their generation, so we’ll see. But I’m excited to have the third season coming.'
Doubts were cast over the future of the show – which last aired in 2022 – when the writer’s strike took action and news on the production for the third season subsequently went quiet. Plus there was the fact that the cast were becoming superstars outside of the show and – let's face it – too old to play school children. Then, tragedy struck the cast in July 2023 when Angus Cloud, who played Fezco ‘Fez’ O’Neill, tragically died aged 25.
However, the official Euphoria Instagram account made a post in July 2024 stating ‘Euphoria Season 3 will go into production in January 2025.’ Albeit a month late, the producers have stuck to their word and announced the show was in production on 10 February 2025.
But what have our friends at East Highland High School been up to in their three years odd screen? Here’s everything we know about Euphoria season 3 so far.
