I don’t want to worry you, but your work Christmas party is just around the corner. I’m sure it’s been in your calendar for months or at least niggling at the back of your mind, but those festive drinks and awkward conversations with your boss are now within touching distance.
For all the pressure to keep it together, to not be the one person to turn up the next day bedraggled and with a new boyfriend in the IT department, it’s actually the stress of figuring out what to wear that weighs on us. It’s the one night of the year when all of your colleagues can really see your personal style.
To ensure your party season starts stress-free, I’ve figured out what you should wear. Whatever your budget, whatever your personal taste, I have something for you. And, I’ve found the accessories to go with it.
Personally, I plan to wear a Topshop snakeskin pencil skirt with a Ganni silver blouse and these ridiculously Kirakira kitten heels from No. 21. But, if you prefer trousers, perhaps Zara’s sequin flares with a black blazer and square-toed sandals will take your fancy, or a pair of high-waist Levi’s with a slinky Nanushka top will appeal. If you’re in the market for a dress, the sugarplum shades of The Vampire’s Wife’s Falconetti gown is hard to resist. However, it may blow your budget. In that case, consider a festive scarlet mini dress from Marques’Almeida or Ghost’s wrap dress with a pair of ALEXACHUNG block heels.
Whatever your Christmas party poison, I’ve found it.
