It's spring! And yet it's also a little bit drizzly and a little bit cold in the mornings, which means getting dressed = tricky. A sleeveless dress feels premature - because what on earth will you wear when it's actually hot?! - but jeans and jumpers are starting to lose their appeal. Cue the perfect comprise: a spring cardigan.
Hailey Bieber's a fan - styling hers with wide-leg jeans and a leather coat in Paris - as is Emily Ratajkowski. Just to be clear, in its current iteration, the spring cardigan is cropped. And while this might sound a little Y2K, it's perfect for now. Jacquemus' version - in candy colours and with a nameplate-style fastening across the chest - is the blueprint, but there are plenty of other options.
Peachy Den's spring cardigans are another cool-girl favourite. The Monica, with its pale blue hue and white edging - would (almost) look demure with a pleated skirt that sat high on the waist. Or you could channel the energy of Euphoria's Cassie, styling it instead with a shockingly high tennis skirt and platform shoes.
Zara's collared cardigan, in a sunny houndstooth, would almost be office-appropriate with a pair of high-waisted black trousers. While Ganni's, with its slightly puffed sleeves and sweet white collar, would make a lovely top half to a christening outfit. (Bear in mind that you don't have to show any skin if you don't want to; simply wear a ribbed tank or a tee underneath and leave it unbuttoned.) Easy, breezy.
