A successful fashion collaboration hinges on two things: a celeb with enduring style credibility, and a brand with a distinct - but complementary - aesthetic. That’s what happened with Poppy Delevingne and Nobody’s Child, whose new collection balances her polished bohemian style with the brand’s effortless, sustainable ethos.

Even before the collection arrived in the fashion cupboard, I had a feeling it would be special. Nobody’s Child has a track record for producing some of the season’s most-loved dresses — just look at the polka dot number that’s sold out time and again. And sure enough, my first impression didn’t disappoint. I was instantly taken with the riot of colour and texture: frilly blouses, floaty summer dresses, and lacy, ruffled eveningwear that make wedding guest dressing effortless. There’s sharp tailoring too – including a standout pinstripe suit that means business – and I’ve found my ultimate jeans in the palazzo pair, which might just be the stretchiest I’ve ever worn. The collection is rounded off with crochet tops and patchwork dresses, offering a soft nod to ‘70s Woodstock without feeling too retro.

The best part of this collection is that each piece tells a story, including a cherry-red slip borrowed from Delevingne's friend's mum and worn for three days straight after a suitcase was lost en route to Spain. It’s been recreated as the Jazzy, a lace-trimmed dress with a sultry kind of ease. ‘What I love about it is that this friend of mine’s mum, she had this piece since the ’70s,' says Delevingne. 'I’d sort of brought it back to life and now, along with Nobody’s Child, the story continues.

‘We’ve worked hard to create pieces that are not only fashion-forward but easy to wear. I can’t wait for everyone to experience the collection and feel the same joy I do when I wear them.’ And after trying them, I can confirm: they’re as wearable and versatile as she promises.

The pieces tipped for a sell-out? The floral mini crush dress is playful and fun, while the leopard-print number adds a bold twist to any dress collection. The fringed denim jacket is already proving to be a standout favourite, as is the striped co-ord – now sold out in several sizes. Another highlight is the crochet dress, inspired by one Delevingne wore to Glastonbury in 2023, and destined for similar festival fame.

Nobody’s Child x Poppy Delevingne is available in-store and online from today, bringing with it a collection rooted in nostalgia, storytelling and enduring style. With timeless energy and a celebratory spirit, the collection feels less like a fleeting fashion moment and more like a wardrobe built to be passed on - with love, and maybe a little glitter.
