The A-list love it, too.

As the Labour party claimed victory in election earlier this year, we saw one British high street brand flourish thanks to the likes of Victoria Starmer and Angela Rayner: ME+EM. While, clearly, there are more important things to be talking about pertaining to UK politics right now, it is worth noting that since Starmer walked into Number 10 Downing Street with her husband, the new Prime Minister, wearing a red £275 midi dress with contrast stitching, it has sold out in every size. Rayner, too, has chosen the brand's jackets, dresses and jumpsuits for official engagements throughout the election campaign, suggesting that this label is now no longer just the secret weapon for the Princess of Wales.

That was not the first time either woman has worn ME+EM, either. Starmer chose the label's white tweed cropped jacket (also now sold out, although you can sign up for notification of a re-stock) when celebrating with her husband. Rayner has worn several items previously, including a £395 jumpsuit and a pleated front midi dress, now £228 in the sale.

The latest to please allegiance to the stylish British brand? Over the weekend, Princess Beatrice stepped out for the Christmas carol service wearing ME+EM's Silk Floral Print Midi Dress paired with a very on-trend burgundy coat and red velvet pumps.

The brand also made waves at Wimbledon, where it was spotted on two occasions in the Royal Box, first on Zara Tindall, who wore the out-of-stock Shadow Berry Print Maxi Dress (also seen this week on Queen Mary of Denmark). Carole Middleton, meanwhile, attended day 10 of the tennis wearing the label's Cotton Silk Petal Burst Midi Dress, which is also sold out.

Another A-lister who loves ME+EM? Katie Holmes, who chose this navy knitted ME+EM dress last month while out in New York.

But what makes the brand's knitted dresses so perfect?. I've always loved the comfort and versatility of a knit dress; smart enough to wear to work - just wear with ballet flats, a neat leather handbag and a oversized blazer for an office-friendly win - but relaxed enough to wear with flip-flops and sunnies for days out and about, this is one hard-working wardrobe hero.

Celebs aside, you might also have a certain ME+EM white maxi skirt on your radar, spotted on multiple occasions by our eagle-eyed fashion assistant Gavi Weiss, that's still top of our summer shopping list.

The dress worn by Victoria Starmer to arrive at Number 10 Downing Street as her husband began his tenure as Prime Minister, this midi promptly sold out. Sign up now to receive notifications when it's back in stock, or buy it in black and cream, which is still fully stocked.

Wear with the matching trousers and a white shirt for a twist on the classic work suit, just like Angela Rayner, or try this jacket with jeans for extra polish on dressed-down days.

ME+EM does tailoring so well and these wide leg trousers are a prime example of that. They'll go with everything from slouchy knits to crisp shirts.

Worn by Angela Rayner for her first cabinet meeting as Deputy PM, this textured midi dress is now currently in the sale with 30% off. It's also available in black and mint.

Another style worn by Rayner, this jumpsuit will take you from work into the weekend without effort.

Nyong'o styled hers with a leopard print waist belt from Banana Republic and strappy heels, but this would look equally great with flat sandals. In cooler months, try with layers underneath and knee-high boots.

This might just be the perfect office to out-of-hours dress. Consider it your new favourite ready-made outfit for the season ahead and when autumn rolls back around just wear with a jacket and long boots.
