Finding the perfect pair of jeans is no easy feat, especially if you're someone who is the proud owner of thicker thighs, a smaller waist and wider hips, or fit into the 'pear-shaped' category. If you've ever had your hopes dashed by a pair of jeans that promises to be the one, only to be disappointed by the gaping fabric around the waistband or, even worse, being unable to pull them up past your knees, then we may just have the solution.
It's no secret that M&S' jeans are praised on the high street for being high-quality, affordable and well-fitting, but there's one pair that, over the past year, has sold more than 20,000 pairs to customers who have given five star reviews. In fact, they're so good, they're now famous on social media.
We first spotted the M&S Collection High Waisted Carrot Leg Ankle Grazer Jeans, £39.50 on TikTok, where fashion influencer, sofynicoledobson, wrote, 'Marks & Spencer CARROT JEANS 🥕 specifically BIGGER around the hips and thighs and when I say they fit you like they were MADE FOR YOU. They are like a glove.'
Similar to a mom jean but without that garish gap at the top, they're true to size and comfortable to wear. They are ankle grazers, so it's worth bearing in mind which length would suit you (Sofy is 5'4" and opted for the regular length). Binky Felstead has also worn them, proving that they really are great on different body shapes and sizes. Crucially, though, they've got a bit of stretch in them, so should even be comfortable when sitting down.
Available in medium indigo and light indigo, as well as short, regular and long in UK sizes 6-22, it's probably not surprising to learn that these jeans sell out consistently in many sizes. If your size is currently unavailable, however, you can sign up to be notified when it's back in stock. And then, naturally, you can make a TikTok video about your perfect new jeans.
