Kate Middleton is partial to a great blazer, and the Princess of Wales' love for the high street is also no secret. From countless Me+Em looks, to LK Bennett's floral dresses, Middleton has proved time and time again that elegant, timeless looks can be achieved even if you're on a budget. And, her latest appearance in a Zara blazer takes it a step further.
Stepping out for a Portage Session as part of her 'Shaping Us' campaign on early childhood, Kate Middleton wore a tweed double-breasted red blazer from Zara, complete with gold buttons. And, this isn't the first appearance the blazer has made. The royal wore the red blazer last year on a visit to Denmark, as well as to an England v Germany game at Wembley the year before. How does she style the statement piece? With a neutral tee, black trousers and ballet flats, in classic Kate style, of course.
Zara may just be Middleton's favourite retailer, with four blazers from the brand in total, including a few peacock blue and grass green jackets rounding out her tailoring collection. So what explains her allegiance? Almost every high street shops carries a wide variety of blazers, but Zara's seem to be better than most at striking that balance between smart and casual.
The shop also has an array of tempting shades - from everyone's favourite beige to spearmint via emerald - and they all seem to be cut on the roomy side so that you can roll up the sleeves to achieve a certain nonchalance.
Middleton's red blazer from Zara is currently sold out, but you can shop the closest alternatives down below.
