Hailey Bieber’s Latest Spring Outfit Includes This Trench Coat From Mango – And It’s Still In Stock

The model eschewed her wardrobe full of designer coats for something altogether more affordable.

As a woman in possession of so many coats that I've had to store them in various locations, I must say I admire Hailey Bieber and her extensive collection of outerwear. From sharp-shouldered Saint Laurent coats to Toteme leopard print styles, Bieber's collection also boasts shrunken bombers from Phoebe Philo, cropped coats from By Malene Birger (the Scandi label that's been everywhere this year) and, lest we forget, a floor-sweeping Bottega Veneta show-stopper which still occupies my thoughts. Still, for her most recent spring outfit, Bieber chose to eschew her many, many designer coats in favour of something altogether more affordable: a trench coat from Mango.

The oversized cotton trench is, remarkably, still in stock and is ideal for the unpredictable weather inevitably wrought by spring. It has a buttoned collar which can be worn as a turtleneck or turned-down like Bieber, as well as a classic belt and button details on the cuffs, too. It is interesting enough to feel like a fresh interpretation of a great trench coat without straying too far from the timeless appeal of such an item. Sorry, I did tell you I had more than a passing obsession with coats...

Hailey Bieber's trench is still in stock in all sizes – but it is likely to sell out quickly.

Before I digress, Bieber kept things simple by throwing her trench over a white vest top, while using her Magda Butrym cropped trousers to confirm what we already knew – that pedal pushers are, believe it or not, back in action (and have been for some time now). Burtym, incidentally, has a major collaboration with H&M launching this week, in case you want to shop her aesthetic at a high street price.

Finishing Bieber's outfit were a pair of heeled flip flops from the LA-based brand Femme, as well as her trusty Y tote bag from Saint Laurent. Hey presto – you have yourself an easy, chic spring outfit. Whether or not you opt for full-length trousers, however, is entirely your prerogative. And possibly reflective of your age, and/or how wounded you were by pedal pushers the first time around.

To sum up, because we've all got places to be, Bieber's coat is excellent and it's still (for now) in stock. Even I may make room on my overloaded coat rack for this high street trench. Either that or I'll just have to buy more storage space.

M&S has a well-fitting vest top for under £10 – and it is available in 10 different colours, too, if you want something other than white.

Bieber's cropped trousers are this pair from Magda Butrym. Part pedal pusher, part city shorts, they're inspired by classic tailoring and will also look great with an oversized leather jacket.

A slightly more wearable version of Bieber's capri pants, this pair from COS is longer and not quite as tight-fitting, making them an ideal summer alternative to the wide-leg trousers you were in all winter.

Bieber's sandals are from LA-based label Femme. With an almond toe and small heel, they're ideal for everything from summer weddings to days at work.

One of Bieber's favourite accessories is this timeless tote from Saint Laurent.
