I was just four years old when Sienna Miller stepped out in some of her most iconic looks, like when she chose to wear Uggs to a muddied Worthy Farm (she's never been one for practicalities), or the colourful Missoni slip dress she wore to the premiere of Keen Eddie. Or, when she perused around Notting Hill in an outfit combination I still turn to to this day – a denim skirt, white tank top, cowboy boots and a Balenciaga Le City bag. I might not have understood it then, but I've since grown up in the wake of Miller's (very) impressionable style, and she very much continues to influence what I (and a host of other well-dressed women) choose to wear today.
What cemented Miller's place in the hall of fame was, of course, her love of everything boho. And while she does frequent Glastonbury most years, Miller turns to everything fringed, ruffled and lace even when she's not attending said festival. Her looks have become a boho-blueprint, if you will, and while we're not all budgeting for a wardrobe full of Chloé, I've found there's one high street store that comes very close to channelling her looks. Free People is a one-stop shop for pretty much anything Miller would approve of; satin dresses that can be paired with vintage knee-high boots, oversized sunglasses and of course, copious amounts of lace (bonus points if it's lace and ruffled). However, it's the new-in section that's not to be ignored.

Free People's vintage-inspired Bright Side Set features a top with three ties at the front and just-below-the-elbow sleeves, as well as a skirt in a high-rise, tiered design. Wear together, styled with a pair of chunky boots, or separately.
I've scrolled Free People's newest offerings to find the best of what I must say is an excellent bunch. This time of year tends to be slightly strange in stores, as we're not quite in autumn, but not really in summer either, but I was pleasantly surprised by Free People's pieces. Most items are incredibly versatile and can be worn during the dregs of summer, or with a trench coat and chunky boots as the cooler weather moves in.
So, if Miller's style still speaks to you (and let's be honest, who doesn't have her on their Pinterest board?), there's no better place to scroll than Free People.

The perfect white skirt (that isn't see-through) is notoriously difficult to find. Free People's style, however, is an excellent choice, with its swing tiered silhouette, low-rise waist and easy pull-on design.

The Field Tripper Jacket is one that can be worn on its own, or layered with a knitted jumper underneath, thanks to its non-bulky feel. If you prefer something brighter, the jacket is also available in cobalt blue, or a more muted black.

Biker boots are essential for autumn/winter and definitely make for a smart investment, particularly in this gorgeous olive suede shade. Style with anything floaty and feminine, like a midi dress or swishy white skirt.

Free People's denim, I find, is criminally underrated. Its jeans are always interesting, and by that I mean there's always something else going on. For example, in this pair, there's seam detailing throughout and lived-in stonewashing.

Reggie Blazer

A blazer is the kind of autumn/winter piece that just works with everything you already have in your wardrobe. In September, style over the top of a white t-shirt and jeans, or in winter, layer underneath a wool coat for extra warmth. The Reggie Blazer also features an overall gingham print, which leans into one of the biggest trends of 2025.

If you're on the lookout for a new school/uni/work bag as we head into September, Free People's style is soft yet roomy - perfect for holding all your essentials. Inside, you'll find a linen interior as well as a zipped pocket.
