Fendace Has Finally Launched, So Shop It Before It Breaks The Internet

Whatever you think of 2022 so far, you can hardly suggest we've been starved of exciting fashion collaborations. From high street collections like the one designed by Iris Apfel for H&M to Ganni's partnership with Y2K favourite Juicy Couture, to Manolo Blahnik's beautiful Birkenstocks to the upcoming Adidas x Gucci bonanza, the fashion collab is alive and well. And just when you thought it couldn't get much better, enter Fendace.

Just don't call it a collab. Instead, think of this as a very glamorous fashion swap between two iconic houses, with Fendi designers Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi bringing their perspective to Versace, and Donatella Versace presenting Fendi through her vision.

As a statement from the brands states: 'Fendace is a unique moment in fashion. It’s an exchange of roles and brand codes rather than a collaboration.' Got it?

Presented back in September on a whole host of supermodels, Fendace brings together the ultra glamorous worlds of both Fendi and Versace, resulting in a collection that's heavy on logos and ornate prints and fabrics.

Of course, there's an extremely glamorous campaign to accompany this launch, which shows the likes of Amar Akway, Anja Rubik, Imaan Hamman, Kristen McMenamy and Lina Zhang at the Fendace nightclub, directed by Alec Maxwell and with photography by the legendary Steven Meisel.

In terms of the collection itself, there's a take on the Peekaboo bag, co-branded Trigreca sneakers and a series of pieces bearing the Fendace moniker, including T-shirts, slides, swimsuits and belts.

When can I buy Fendace?

Versace by Fendi and Fendi by Versace, otherwise known as Fendace, will be available from May 12 2022.

Where can I buy Fendace?

You can buy the Fendace collection in selected Fendi and Versace boutiques, as well as in a special pop-up in Harrods. In fact, Harrods is the only place where you'll be able to buy both Fendi by Versace and Versace by Fendi in the same place. The exclusive pop-up will run from May 12 to May 30.

How much does Fendace cost?

Prices start at £130 for a pair of the logo socks, ranging up to an eye-watering £26,800 for the shimmering pink mesh metal gown.
