EmRata might have one of the hottest wardrobes in New York City - as evidenced by all the pap shots of her wearing, oh you know, a bag from Maison Margiela, a corset boob tube from Miaou, a pair of sports sunglasses by Prada - but she's no stranger to the lure of the high street, particularly where her sneakers are concerned. Stepping out yesterday, EmRata grabbed a trusty pair of Vans, the skater's brand's classic Authentic Trainers. Styling them with a LBD - a tank style that was reminiscent of Carrie Bradshaw's - they lent the look some casual cool as she walked through the West Village.

But Vans isn't the only affordable brand in her footwear wardrobe. EmRata's also a fan of another skater style: Converse's Chuck Taylors. New Yorkers famously do a lot of walking so it's no surprise that the model-author likes to hang up her spindly heels for something a little more comfortable now and then.

Another summer favourite is Superga. The French brand's tennis-style trainers have found fans in Kate Middleton, Ariana Grande, Zoe Saldana and Hailey Bieber, most of whom gravitate towards its classic Cotu. EmRata wears hers with the ultimate low-effort summer uniform: a white dress, a shoulder bag and tortoiseshell sunnies. Done, done and done.
