Like it or not, the midriff is officially the accessory of the season. We've got crystal bras that look amazing (if a little uncomfortable). We've got '90s-inspired halter-necks in acid-bright patterns. We've got silky scarf 'tops'. And lastly we've got the baby tee.

Partly fuelled by our obsession with nostalgia, it seems our passion for tiny tees has been building for decades. These slightly cropped tees lean perfectly into the early '00s aesthetic that appears time and time again across TikTok and Instagram. Often, a slightly witty (or scathing) slogan is worn proudly, emblazoned across the chest as demonstrated perfectly by Charli XCX. Designer Maxine Beiny's collection, for example, showcases slogan T-shirts with phrases such as 'Try Hard' or 'Is This What You've Been Waiting For?'; the perfect way to get your point across.

Loved by Gen Z, including Kaia Gerber, Hailey Bieber and Mia Regan, these itty bitty baby T-shirts are the perfect combo of kitsch and cool. And as we ease into some warmer summer months, we're acclimatising to the idea of having a little more skin on show.

Leading the way on the baby tee trend has to be the mighty Marc Jacobs. Having reaching cult status with its Heaven teddy logo tee, the brand launched a new collection of monogram pieces including the perfect teeny T-shirts. With a campaign launched by none other than Gigi Hadid and Angus Cloud. Top tip, head over to Depop to see a great collection of these shrunken 'Heaven' shirts.

New label Made Some Souvenirs, whose fanbase includes the likes of influencer Emma Chamberlain, offer a brilliant collection of tiny tees, each with a different city landmark.

Elsewhere, Free People's ribbed horoscope T-shirts make the perfect statement (it's Taurus season, FYI). Urban Outfitters, meanwhile, has a huge array of options from plain white to patterned.
