Uniqlo has strong form when it comes to collaborating with designers. Over the years, it has recruited some of the best in the business, from JW Anderson to Clare Waight Keller, who has recently become the high street label's creative director. Last year, the brand announced its first partnership with Anya Hindmarch, the British designer famed for her whimsical accessories. Consisting of an array of knitwear and accessories, the collection was a total smash hit, selling out rapidly. It stands to reason, therefore, that Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch can expect a similar response to the new autumn/winter 2024 offering.
Launching today, 21st November, this new collection features three hero knits – including a cashmere jumper – a Puffertech jacket and a range of winter-saving accessories, all bearing Hindmarch's signature eyes motif. This being Uniqlo, the pieces don't just look good, they're practical, too; most of the accessories feature Uniqlo's infamous Heattech for maximum warmth, while the tote bag packs down into a tiny pouch.
The jumpers all feature the Anya Hindmarch eyes motif on the sleeve, making for a playful touch to these knits. The first collection was so popular that customers are limited to a maximum of two items each from this new offering, so choose wisely.
'I’ve loved collaborating with Uniqlo again,' said Hindmarch, 'working with their iconic knits and outerwear. Once again, we’ve played with their silhouettes; deconstructing and then rebuilding them with darning stitches, knitted-in patches, and unexpected details, creating special designs, always with a touch of fun.'

Who is Anya Hindmarch?
Dame Anya Hindmarch DBE is a British designer who founded her eponymous label in 1987, when she was just 19. She has become renowned for her playful, whimsical accessories, including her riffs on everyday items, which she turns into luxury bags. For example, her Heinz Ketchup tote has been a hit, as well as her Nurofen pouches and the McVitie’s Rich Tea clutch bags.
Why is Anya Hindmarch so popular?
The brand has amassed a global following thanks to its high-quality craftsmanship, employing traditional techniques to craft luxury pieces, many of which have become collector's items. Anya Hindmarch is known for creativity and design details; the brand has developed signature motifs and logos, such as the googly eyes which can be seen throughout the Uniqlo x Anya Hindmarch collection.
Anya Hindmarch also offers a bespoke service, which means people are able to personalise their accessories, while many are drawn to the label's commitment to sustainability. The brand has a mission to drive the fashion industry to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
Why is Anya Hindmarch so expensive?
The products can be expensive for a number of reasons, including the high quality of the materials used, the craftsmanship required to make them and the way in which they're made to ensure they're more sustainable. For example, the brand said its I Am A Plastic Bag collection was more complicated to make, given that it was crafted from entirely recycled materials.
What are Anya Hindmarch bags made of?
Lots of the bags are made of leather but a lot of the materials throughout Anya Hindmarch's collection are recycled where possible. For more information on the craftsmanship involved in making an Anya Hindmarch bag and the specific materials used, click here.
