Maybe you're a 'summer' person; the kind who, at the first sight of a ray on the horizon, feels the urge to waft around in cheesecloth dresses and Birkenstocks. On the other hand, maybe you're much more comfortable in autumn's uniform of jeans and jumpers - and tend to get hot under the collar at the thought of what to wear when the temperature spikes. If you're in the latter camp, it helps when someone else does the hard work for you, especially if that person is one of our favourite 'gramers: Abisola Omole.
As a creative director and CEO - Omole founded Studio Arva, a lifestyle store and interior design studio - her wardrobe is a careful curation of pieces that can be worn again and again, managing to walk that line between always looking polished and yet playful.
And now she's lent her expert eye to Amazon Fashion, taking part in its spring/summer edit, along with fellow creatives Melissa Villarreal, Lisa Hahnbück and Tia Taylor, Omole has selected her summer favourites from the website. And the resulting edit, typical of her considered style, is a capsule of mostly neutral pieces that you can wear almost interchangeably. 'I particularly loved the ribbed two-piece that's by Find. It feels chic and comfy, which is the ultimate combination,' she told Grazia.
As well as the two-piece, which is your one-way-ticket to looking put-together for dinners or even the office if your dress code errs towards the smart-casual side, Omole has cherry-picked the kind of classics that every wardrobe would benefit from. The V-neck slip dress, which she's rather ingeniously styled with a shirred blouse instead of a cardigan or sweater, the indigo jeans, the off-duty T-shirt, the puff-sleeved maxi dress - and all sorts of accessories that could be worn on the wedding season circuit as well as every day.
Omole's been wearing the edit everywhere. 'My entire wardrobe is fairly transitional (a conscious decision). I’ve been wearing my looks to meetings, dinner parties and the cinema.'
