Simone Rocha, the designer responsible for the most fantastical of frocks, and almost solely to thank for the pearl-laced hair slide trend, has come to H&M. And as this year marks her brand's 10th anniversary, the collaboration is like a wander through her archive, a timely celebration of her greatest hits.
While the collection has only just launched, the likes of Alexa Chung, Barbie Ferreira, Susie Bubble, Jessie Bush and Marianne Theodorsen have already got their hands on it and, as a result, have been documenting their love for the clothes on Instagram.

Ahead of the big launch day, Rocha also asked friends of the house to model the clothes against beautiful artworks by artist Faye Wei Wei, who also poses in the collection, in a pop-up book created by scanning QR codes.
Helena Bonham Carter, Paloma Elsesser, Kaia Gerber, Francesca Hayward, Omari Douglas and Djenaba all appear in miniature (standing at 10.5cm) and looking resplendent in their Simone Rocha x H&M finery. 'I think that this AR experience really encapsulates Simone’s world – it feels playful, magical, and a little bit whimsical, as well. All these pearls everywhere – it feels like opening up a beautiful dressing up box, a special picture book, somewhere. It’s a really special way for her to share her universe with others,' said Douglas.

How much does Simone Rocha x H&M cost?
In the womenswear, there are tops for £39.99 and pretty, ruffle-detail trench coats for £149.99. The dresses in the collection range from £79.99 to £149.99. There will also be Rocha's signature pearly accessories for as little as £24.99. The childrenswear collection starts at £9.99.
What sizes will be available in Simone Rocha x H&M?
Reports circulated in January that Simone Rocha x H&M would only cater up to a UK size 14, despite advertising itself as 'size inclusive', H&M has since dismissed these claims, however, saying in a statement: 'We understand the frustration regarding the sizes for our upcoming collaboration with Simone Rocha. The garments offered in large for this collection is equivalent to a UK size 16-18, but we understand that it is not including all sizes, as communicated in the video. For us it was important to design a collection that would work for different shapes.'
Is Simone Rocha x H&M Sustainable?
Speaking toUS Vogue, Rocha said that sustainability was a major consideration for her in this collaboration. 'A company like H&M has a much bigger footprint than something like Simone Rocha, so yes, sustainability for us came into the fabrications. We were able to use an organic cotton, recycled polyester, a new compostable yarn. Actually, it was very interesting to see what could translate, and I think people will be surprised by the quality when they see it. So I hope it will be special enough to want to wear forever.'
Which other designers have collaborated with H&M?
H&M's sell-out designer collaborations started in 2004 with a Karl Lagerfeld collection, before he was joined by some of fashion's biggest names. They were: Stella McCartney (2005), Viktor & Rolf (2006), Roberto Cavalli (2007), Comme des Garcons (2008), Matthew Williamson (2009), Jimmy Choo (2009), Sonia Rykiel (2010), Lanvin, Versace, Marni (2012), Maison Martin Margiela (2013), Isabel Marant (2013), Alexander Wang (2014), Balmain, Kenzo, Erdem, Moschino, Giambattista Valli and The Vampire's Wife.
To show off the collection in all its glory, Simone Rocha x H&M recruited a whole gang of talented people including Daisy Edgar-Jones, English actor Micheal Ward, Royal Ballet Principal Dancer Francesca Hayward, the artist Faye Wei Wei, musician Kelsey Lu – who also provides the soundtrack for the campaign film – and a host of Rocha's favourite models including Tess McMillan and sisters Adwoa and Kesewa Aboah.
Shot by Tyler Mitchell, the photographer who made history when he became the first Black photographer to shoot the cover of USVogue(and recently captured Kamala Harris for her own cover), the campaign is as ethereal and optimistic as Rocha's designs. In a statement, H&M said 'It is a hopeful message about the joy that will come when we can meet again, and come together to dine, relax, laugh, dance, exchange and share.'

To celebrate the designer's entry into a pantheon of The Greats - Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawakubo, Alber Elbaz and Martin Margiela have all collaborated with the high street giant -Grazia photographed the dreamy collection as part of its big fashion issue.
Speaking in a promotional video for the collection, Rocha said: ‘Being able to do something and share it with so many people across all ages, all sizes, all nationalities, it was really important for me that the collection brought femininity, strength and modernity.'
For H&M, Rocha is just about the high street brand's dream collaborator. 'Simone Rocha has been on the H&M wish-list for some time,' says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M's creative advisor. 'This collaboration offers a new audience the chance to own a very special piece of design history. All of us at H&M have been so inspired to work with a female designer who spends so much time thinking about contemporary femininity, and womanhood, and who is so committed to excellence in craft and design.'
Adwoa and Kesewa Aboah also appeared in the teaser video for the collection, released earlier this year. Sitting side-by-side – Adwoa, wearing a puff-sleeved snow white frock with ribboned slides through her hair, Kesewa wearing chandelier earrings of sequinned petals - they talk about why they love the brand so much. ‘That moment where you’re the belle of the ball,’ is how Adwoa describes wearing Rocha. ‘She just gets better and better so I just feel like this is another celebration of what she’s about,’ she says.
Edgar-Jones says 'Fashion is a big part of my life. I love deciding who I'm going to be each day. I was unbelievably chuffed to be asked to be part of the campaign. I'm a big fan of [Rocha's] work so it was amazing to meet her in person.'
The collaboration will also see the designer making menswear and kidswear, finally some good news for the women getting married this year who are looking for an adorable outfit for their flower girls, or something a little more fashion-adjacent for their groom.
The womenswear is just as hyper-feminine as always, but perhaps a little more approachable for first-time wearers. ‘I understand my clothes might be intimidating – too feminine or too dressy – so there’s special pieces and daywear hopefully for everyone,’ she told Vogue.
The lookbook was photographed by Ben Toms and styled by Robbie Spencer, starring the likes of Tess McMillan, Jess Maybury, Bimpe and Aramish Mangi, all regulars in Rochas catwalk lineup. The clothes themselves include tulle dresses, puff sleeve tops and frill-detail trench coats. One thing’s for sure: this collaboration will take all of two seconds to sell out.
The full size range of Simone Rocha x H&M will be UK 6-18.
