She's got quite the array of face coverings.

Kate Middleton’s mini tour wardrobe has been front and centre of the news cycle this week, but there’s another royal whose mask mastery (a skill that’s very 2020) is deserving of some limelight. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, has some serious game in the face covering department.

Last night, as the royal family gathered outside Windsor Castle, Camilla sported a ruby red mask with violet and blue flowers. It chimed beautifully with her jewel-toned coat and fuchsia scarf. This morning, showing no signs of face covering fatigue, she chose a paw-printed design for a visit to Battersea Dogs Home. Even the most cynical republican couldn’t help crack a smile at that level of consideration and, while Middleton tried a similar approach on the tour with a tartan mask that matched her scarf and skirt, it didn’t quite have the same cutesy factor.

She’s also nailed the shape. Visiting Salisbury Cathedral on the 7 December, Camilla wore a feather-patterned mask that had delicate curves (no doubt to highlight the cheekbones and stop it falling off your nose). She’s also got winter floral face masks with a similarly curvaceous silhouette, one of which looked lovely with her pale blue tailoring on a visit to the Bank of England. Prince Charles, himself a rather dapper dresser, has also earned some style points for his printed blue mask that’s a lot more exciting that anything his son has sported. His mum, meanwhile, has only been seen wearing a face mask once, and that was simple style in classic black. Let's keep our fingers crossed that someone will crack out a festive face covering before Christmas.
