All eyes are on Meghan and Harry as they continue their royal tour of Australia, and as we get to see more of the tourdrobe Meghan brought along for the trip, it’s becoming clear Duchess has a thing for navy blue.
While she’s been known to favour pops of green, pale pink and white, the pregnant royal has gone for a number of navy looks lately, and it could have something to do with the fact that black is a huge no-no for daytime functions according to the Queen’s royal dress code.
‘Generally it is thought that black is not usually worn unless in mourning,’ The English Manner Chief Executive Alexandra Messervy once explained to InStyle. ’Although Diana Princess of Wales did occasionally wear it for evening functions, and The Duchess of Cambridge has been known to do so’
Without black to fall back on, Meghan has to rely on colours like navy blue for the daytime, but with the help of her unofficial stylist Jessica Mulroney, the Duchess has managed to make the colour look anything but dull.
