It's a stark difference to Taylor's notoriously private past

The first weekend of Coachella 2024 is over, and there's one star who has truly stolen the show. Taylor Swift has become one of the festival's hottest topics, despite not even taking to the stage.

The singer was spotted at the LA festival with boyfriend Travis Kelce, enjoying sets from artists Dom Dolla, Bleachers, and Ice Spice. Joining them were pop culture's other 'It' couple, Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan, as well as Ice Spice, who joined after her set.

Although backstage with her famous friends at points, Taylor often enjoyed the music the way many festival-goers believe one should: as part of the thousands strong crowd (albeit in the VIP section.)

And with her Coachella appearance making waves, fans were thrilled to see the singer finally having fun.

One wrote on X (formerly Twitter), 'Woke up to videos of Taylor Swift in a Coachella crowd dancing, singing, laughing, and existing like a normal person. I know she can't get those years of isolation back, but she is experiencing so much life again and I'm so happy for her.'

Another fan wrote, 'Nothing makes me happier than waking up and seeing so many videos of Taylor at Coachella being free and happy,' as another added, 'Travis just seems like a fun person to be around! I'm so happy for Taylor.'

There's a reason why Taylor's Coachella weekender has garnered such attention. In years past, the thought of the record-breaking singer wandering through crowds in a public place was an almost impossible vision. Indeed, Swifties will recall Taylor's Houdini-esque disappearing act in the years she dated British actor Joe Alwyn - with their relationship defined by dashes to taxis and top secret walks, all in the name of maintaining the utmost privacy.

But with football star Travis, Taylor's taking a more public-facing approach.

Since confirming their romance last September, Taylor and Travis have been spotted in public on multiple occasions. Often, they're doing things 'normal' couples do every week: going out for dinner, talking a stroll in a park, enjoying a date at the zoo, as well as supporting each other in their career wins.

In the early days of their relationship, Taylor was a regular sight at Kansas City Chiefs football games. As the team fought their way to the Super Bowl, Travis was supported by his merch-wearing girlfriend - who even stepped onto the pitch with the rest of his family.

In the months that followed, the pair weren't afraid to be seen together as they enjoyed dinner dates in New York. While fans were usually used to Taylor making a quick dash to safety, this time it was a slow stroll to and from the restaurant door. Holding hands, Taylor and Travis were a unit as they took on the hordes of paparazzi waiting outside.

While PDAs often summons a shudder, this is one couple the world can't get enough of.

If Travis and Taylor weren't so instantly recognisable for being the best in their fields, many would mistake them for any other loved up couple enjoying some quality time. A sight that once would have been remarkable, now it's an almost normal occurrence to see Taylor enjoying her life as any 34-year old woman should. Taylor Swift is finally living her best life.
