Another day, another insight into the truly baffling phenomenon that is Hiddleswift.
After a whirlwind relationship promo tour that saw Taylor Swift and new boyfriend Tom Hiddleston photographed everywhere from the Colosseum to the Sussex countryside (via Taylor's Long Island residence), it's been remarked upon that we've had something of a drought of Hiddleswift photos in the last few weeks - and that it took three whole days for Hiddleston to follow Swift on his new Instagram account. What does it all mean, you ask?
Thankfully, Hiddleston has some words of wisdom on this very subject that should stop us all worrying about his relationship status. Well, sort of.
In a video interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hiddleston fielded a question from an audience member about what it's like to date such a high profile figure. His answer?
'We all live in a world where every phone has a camera and there's nothing new, really, about the spotlight on me. I think that's what happens when you're a public figure.'
He added: 'What have I learned about it? I've learned to — I don't know, maybe it's too soon to tell. I've learned that there are many sides to a story, and that sometimes there are a lot of stories out there which are false, and the hardest thing is to try to not let those falsehoods affect your own life. That's what I would say.'
Nope, we're not 100 percent sure what he's talking about either.

Tom Hiddleston put in a rare solo appearance at Comic-Con at the weekend without Taylor Swift, sparking rumours that bosses of his new movie aren’t too keen on his very public romance with the star.
Promoting his new movie Kong: Skull Island, the actor insisted that ‘Hiddleswift’ hasn’t damaged his career.
Tom told People magazine, “I don’t know, it comes down to being authentic. Everything you do you have to make sure you truly believe in it and as long as you know that, it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about it because the nature of being a public figure is that everyone will have an opinion about anything you do, and as long as you know when you’ve done something and you’ve committed to it with authenticity then you’re ok”.
The actor had just returned from shooting in Australia, reprising his role as Loki in the new Thor: Ragnarok movie. “I’ve only shot for about a week but it’s so much fun, because I haven’t played the character for three and a half years and the script is brilliant…it’s just the best fun. It is like seeing an old friend again,” he said.
So it looks like Hiddleswift is here to stay and Tom won’t need to *Shake It Off *any time soon... we hope!

It's the Hiddleswift quote that's been a long time coming. After coupled-up photoshoots that look straight out of The Notebook - and fervent online speculation that Tay and Tom are straight-up trolling us and secretly shooting some sort of post-modern music video - Hiddleston has confirmed that yes, he is dating Taylor and no, it's not a publicity stunt.
Well, that clears that up then. Sort of.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter to discuss his Emmy nomination for The Night Manager, the conversation naturally turned to Tom's well-publicised new relationship.
His exact words?
'Well, um. How best to put this? The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy. Thanks for asking.'
He even went on to clarify, 'That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt.'
While Tom's interview manner is clearly impeccable, in the time-honoured Carrie Bradshaw fashion, we couldn't help but wonder: is anyone else in the habit of referring to their partner by their full name in passing conversation? Thought not.
The biggest revelation, then, is that Tom must have voluntarily chosen to wear that 4th of July vest. Let's just let that sink in for a while, shall we?

Just in case you were doubting the intensity of the feelings between Taylor Swift and new boyfriend Tom Hiddleston, it has been revealed that Taylor has ‘never felt this way’ before.
She’s broken her silence about her new love and decided for once to be loose-lipped with the press about her normally kept-private (songs aside) love life.
Not exactly.
This new intel comes from a source. But it’s almost definitely true, right?
“When she’s with Tom, she feels completely free to be herself and doesn’t feel like she has to hold anything back,” the source tells Hollywood Life. “Tom really encourages her to be as authentic and as true to herself as possible. She feels like he really values her feelings and her opinions. He’s incredibly supportive and she feels more confident within herself.
“She now wants to take that same confidence and apply it to her music and to her song writing.
“With Tom, she feels like she can do anything, that anything is possible. She’s never felt this way before with anyone. She’s on cloud nine.”
So there you have it. Taylor Swift is on cloud nine with Tom Hiddleston.
Probably.

It looks like Taylor Swift has found love with none other than rumoured Bond-in-waiting Tom Hiddleston.
Two weeks after news broke of her split from the Scottish DJ, Swift was photographed kissing and holding hands with Hiddleston on a rocky Misquamicut beach close to her Rhode Island home.
Since then, the pair have been spotted drinking white wine in a Rhode Island eatery, flying off into the sunset on a private jet (obviously) and showing off their moves at a Selena Gomez gig. Here's everything we know so far about the A-list pairing we really, really didn't see coming...
Taylor And Tom Dance At A Selena Gomez Gig
We're guessing that somewhere in Taylor Swift's hypothetical relationship contract is a clause that says 'Love me, love my squad,' so it was only a matter of time before Hiddleston integrated himself into Swift's huge friendship circle.
The new couple were spotted putting their famous moves to good use at Swift BFF Selena Gomez's show in Nashville, Tennessee, documented on an eagle-eyed fan's Snapchat account.
Also present were Taylor's other best pal, Abigail Anderson (the one who gets a namecheck in Fifteen, Swift aficiondos) and her boyfriend Matt.
A source told E! News: 'Taylor invited Tom to go. Tom always wants to please Taylor and show her that her friends matter. Taylor likes that about Tom.' Clearly he is a man that knows the true importance of #squadgoals.
'They're already very attached and text all the time. Taylor said she thinks he is the one, as odd and new as it sounds.'
Taylor And Calvin: The Social Media Fallout
While Taylor's ex Calvin initially appeared to confirm the amicable nature of the split, in a tweet stating that 'the only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect,' there now appears to be bad blood brewing. Just before the photos emerged, Calvin unfollowed Taylor on all social media platforms, and the aforementioned tweet has now been deleted, along with all pictorial evidence of the pair's relationship.
Taylor followed (ahem) suit, sending all your favourite #Talvin snaps into the big Instagram dustbin in the sky. Don't get too sad, though, because we've preserved all their best social media moments in technological amber. You'll thank us, one day...
The Taylor And Tom Photos That Broke The Internet
In scenes straight out of, well, a Speak Now era Taylor Swift video, Tay Tay was pictured kissing Tom, staring into the Atlantic Ocean with her head on Hiddleston's shoulder, and - naturally - taking selfies with the actor (we're still waiting with baited breath for the pair to make their Insta-debut...) The Night Manager star even lent his jacket to Taylor to make sure she remained at optimum temperature. What a gentleman.
An onlooker revealed to The Sun that the pair 'were all over each other - hugging and kissing - even though there were 20 people coming and going on the beach. They looked like any young couple madly in love without a care in the world.'
A source revealed to the newspaper that 'Tom has been courting Taylor since they met – he sent her flowers. She’s been won over.'
Taylor And Tom: The Met Gala Meeting
The pair were introduced by Anna Wintour shortly before the Met Gala, and sent the Internet into a whirlwind when footage emerged of their dance-off to Beyonce's 'Crazy In Love.'
