The Next Generation Of Gallaghers Reignite Infamous Family Feud

Gallagher cousins

The sparring between Oasis founders Liam and Noel Gallagher has become the stuff of legend. The acerbic-tongued Mancunians have been taking a pop at each other for years - whether it's in real life, via the media or on Twitter - so it's unsurprising perhaps that their feud has now been passed on to the next generation: their children.

It all started last week, when Liam's second-eldest son Gene took aim at cousin Anais, Noel's daugher with Meg Matthews, for attending London Fashion Week on Instagram. The 16-year-old mocked Noel's daughter for looking like him 'in a wig', suggesting that her modelling career was bogus because of it.

'Whoever got to chose who got to model for Tommy Hilfiger is a complete doughnut who should go to Specsavers,' he brutally said. 'Never will u ever see me attend celebrity driven, posh rubbernecking, kids culture club…'

He was referring to her fellow celebrity offspring pals, including Jude Law's son Rafferty and Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, child of famous actor Daniel Day-Lewis, who she was with at the Tommy Now show in London.

Conversely, he praised elder half-brother Lennon, (Lennon is the son of Liam and Patsy Kensit, while Gene's mother is Nicole Appleton), whose career as a model has been going from strength to strength since his catwalk debut earlier this year, saying: 'If this man isn't going to be on stage walking you know it's going to be sh-te'.

Not content to leave it at that, 18-year-old Lennon has now joined the foray, replying to a Tweet by Anais in a mocking tone, which was quickly retweeted by many.

'I need love today. I’m feeling super fragile and basically need a boyfriend. But keep reminding myself I’m too embarrassing to get one!’, wrote Anais, to which Lennon responded, 'really?'

The Gallagher brothers 2.0 have clearly inherited their dad's sense of humour and talent for a pithy putdown on social media. Liam is known for his largely one-sided Twitter feud with Noel, frequently sending him abuse via the site.

Indeed, the latest incident in the brothers' decade-long war of words came after the charity concert for Manchester earlier this year, when Liam critisised Noel for being on holiday instead of playing.

'Manchester I'd like to apologise for my brothers absence last night very disappointed,' he wrote on Twitter at the time. 'Noels out of the f-cking country weren't we all love get on a fucking plane and play your tunes for the kids you sad f-ck.'
