Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's wedding in Miami was the event to score an invite to this year. Guests at the opulent event (said to cost over $3million), included the Williams sisters, Eva Longoria, and the two Mels from the Spice Girls (sadly Geri and Emma could not attend so we were robbed of the reunion we so longed for).
It was widely speculated before the Big Day that Harry and Meghan would be invited to join the celebrations, but according to the Mirror, it was actually Kate and Will who received that honour.
Apparently, a source told the Mirror: 'David and Victoria wrote to William and Kate inviting them and the family to their son’s wedding, and William replied wishing them a great deal of joy but they are unable to attend.'
The source added: 'David’s attachment and history go back with William and Kate and they have a very strong relationship and they were their choice of wedding guests. It was always about them, it was never about Meghan and Harry. They are the people David and Victoria are attached to and it’s always been about them because they’ve had a long history together.”
Victoria and David attended both the Cambridges' wedding in 2011 and the Sussexes' wedding in 2018. Of course, the tabloids are fond of pitting Harry and Meghan against Kate and Will - but the security and logistics involved with either couple attending the Miami wedding would surely have been the main factor in who could or couldn't attend.
Once we get to see some proper pictures of Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding - rather than the grainy long-range snaps circulating online - we'll get a full picture of all the A-List guests who did join them on the day.
