Following Brooklyn's split from Hanna Cross, the pair were first linked in October 2019. Who knew how far their relationship would go in just over a year?!

A few months later, they then go Instagram official in January 2020 with this sweet snap. Brooklyn simply captions it with a red heart emoji. That month they're also spotted out on a date in LA.

A month after they made it official on the 'gram, on 25 February 2020 the couple made their red carpet debut at a Saint Laurent show looking very swish in matching black outfits.

Lockdown can make or break a relationship, but quarantining together in New York didn't harm Brooklyn and Nicola's relationship. The pair stayed in New York in April 2020, while the rest of the Beckhams stayed in the UK.

Brooklyn announced the pair's engagement, after their whirlwind romance, in July 2020. Sharing a gorgeous pic of the pair, where Nicola is wearing a dress designed by Brooklyn's mum, Victora. He wrote: 'Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤ufe0f I love you baby xx'

Rumours were flying in October 2020 that Nicola and Brooklyn had already tied the knot when Nicola shared a photo of Brooklyn wearing a gold 'wedding band' on his ring finger to her Instagram stories. The internet also got itself into a tizzy when Nicola captioned a photo of the pair with 'baby b' leading people to think she was pregnant - we're certain it was just a nickname though. In the same month, it also looked like Brooklyn had revealed a massive tattoo on his neck - which looked very much like Nicola's eyes. That's some Zayn Malik/Gigi Hadid level of dedication.

They couldn't be more in love - as this picture shows - but the couple are still being sensible. Reports in December 2020 said that they're planning to sign a prenup before their marriage to protect their fortunes. The actress is from a family thought to be worth three times more than Victoria and David's wealth, and Nicola herself is thought to be worth $50 million dollars, meanwhile Brooklyn is believed to be worth $10 million. Probably a sensible idea for them both, then.

Brooklyn also posted this adorable snap in December 2020, alongside a photo of him hugging younger sister Harper. 'Who do you miss hugging,' he wrote. 'Here's a couple of my favourite past hugs with two special people in my life.'

Brooklyn marked Nicola's birthday in January 2021 by getting her beloved grandmother's name tattooed on his arm. 'You make me a better man and the happiest man in the world,' he wrote on Instagram. 'I am so lucky to be able to spend the rest of my life with you and create so many memories. I hope you have the most amazing day because you deserve it xx love you baby.'

In March 2021, Nicola showed off her new jewellery: she had gold charms made out of her and Brooklyn's wisdom teeth.

Joining the rest of the Beckham family in Miami, the couple celebrated Easter in April 2021 wearing matching bunny ears.

The pair made their Met Gala debut in September 2021. Nicola wore a pink couture gown from Valentino, especially designed for her by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli.

Welcoming in 2022, Brooklyn posted a New Year's kiss with Nicola, along with the caption: 'Here we come 2022 x me and my wife are coming for you xx'
