If there's one person that knows how to make an entrance on a red carpet, its Zendaya. She took to the red carpet in London for the Dunepremiere in the dreamiest Rick Owens gown last night, and (obviously) served some Instagrammable moments with co-star Timothée Chalamet. Naturally, the eyes of Grazia's beauty team were all on Zendaya's make-up. If her TV show Euphoria taught us anything, it's that Zendaya knows her way around some good eyeshadow. And last night, true to form, she did not disappoint.
Her make-up artist Raoúl Alejandre was the genius behind the look. The sci-fi theme was in full force, with the actress pairing sculptural braids and an eyeshadow look with colours of the milky way.
It's the finer details we're obsessed with; the holographic lavender nestled under her eyebrow, and the ultraviolet purple splashed in her inner corner. If someone gave you a brief of an eyeshadow look reminiscent of another world' you might imagine these colours, but not quite such an accessible look. Right?
Zendaya's make-up artist has got it so right: one pop of coloured eyeshadow in the inner corner of the eye is a chic and accessible way to incorporate colour into your look. Pair it with a fleshy nude lip, à la Zendaya, to really let the colour sing.
Gigi Hadid has also followed suit...
Here's our selection of coloured eyeshadow that packs a punch and looks dazzling in the inner corner of the eye.
SHOP NOW: Best Colourful Eyeshadows
Glossier Lidstar, £15
Fancy trying your hand at Zendaya's holographic eye? This cream eyeshadow is a good place to start. The lilac hue shifts under the light to reveal a pearlescent, violet sheen.
NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette - Brights, £16
NYX offer some of the best colour cosmetics on the high street. These colours are buttery, blend well and feel more expensive than they are. 16 (!) shades mean ample colour playtime.
OPV Beauty Loose Pigment, £8.50
Cult Beauty's latest import, OPV, is a great option for those who fancy trying their hand with one eyeshadow shade. The loose pigments allow for total control over their intensity of your look: pack on for full frontal colour or tap gently in the inner corner for a subtler hue.
Kiko Water Eyeshadow, £8.99
These eyeshadows are one of the high street's best kept secrets. You can use them wet or dry (spritz your eyeshadow brush before dipping into the pan; it creates more of an intense colour pay off and creamy texture). This emerald shade is too beautiful to reserve exclusively for the inner corner of the eye, we'd say.
