The Charlotte Tilbury Wedding Lipstick You Never Knew Existed

Move over Pillow Talk

With less than six months to go until my wedding day, the beauty prep has officially begun. While I am still yet to book in my hair and make-up trial, I’ve pinned a wealth of inspiration (thank you Sophie Habboo and Annie Vischer) to share with my stylist and make-up artist, more than I’d ever care to admit. If over 1000 beauty related pins is excessive, then I'm guilty as charged.

One thing I know for sure, though, is the exact shade of lipstick I’ll be wearing on my wedding day. After swatching, swiping, blotting and blending my way through the entire Grazia beauty cupboard, I have settled on a clear winner. And, if a month ago you’d told me I’d be swapping out my beloved Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk in favour of something different, then I would never have believed you.

Diverting from Charlotte Tilbury entirely, however? Totally unrealistic. There’s a reason why her products are multi-award winning, make-up bag must haves. New launches like the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Body Cream may have been busy causing a stir among beauty insiders and TikTokers alike, but for me nothing can beat the classics, the lipsticks in particular.

So imagine my utter delight when I discovered the Charlotte Tilbury Look of Love collection, an ode to 'dates, wedding days and happily ever afters.' Think blush-toned eye palettes, petal-pink cheek tints and rosy-hued lipsticks. Unsurprisingly, it was a lipstick - housed in a bejewelled case - called Wedding Belles that caught my attention. And it’s just as dreamy as its name suggests.

Infused with orchid extract and myriad nourishing oils, just a swipe of the Charlotte Tilbury Look of Love Matte Revolution Lipstick in Wedding Belles makes light work of hydrating and softening parched lips. But that’s just a bonus. It's the shade that had me at hello. It's a rose-bud pink with a subtle sheen - more than worthy of that all important 'you may kiss the bride' moment.

In need of some lipstick tips for your wedding day? Celebrity make-up artist Lauren Montgomery – who regularly tends to A-list make-up looks including the Hadid's– is here to share her advice:

A Make-Up Artists Guide To The Perfect Wedding Day Lip

  1. 'Prep lips with something hydrating to ensure they are in optimum condition before adding any additional product. MAC Prep& Prime Lip, £20 works well.'

  2. 'Line the entire lip with a soft pencil - this balances the lip shape and gives additional product longevity. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk is a bridal favourite.'

  3. 'Choose colours that are timeless and not too trend led- when you look back and reflect on wedding pictures you won’t regret the colour choice!'

  4. 'If opting for a matte lip colour, team it with a more hydrating shade. I like to use Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Penelope Pink on my brides.'

  5. 'Invest in your chosen lip shade for yourself and your bridesmaids- it's the one thing that will need a little freshen up throughout the day.'
