Proposals are huge deal. Whether they’ve been meticulously planned for months, or if they are spontaneous and understated, they're always special. Some proposals are extravagant and draw in a crowd, and some even involve a crowd (flash mob in Time Square anyone?). This one, however, ranks as truly magical.
Gavin Pepper enlisted the help of a magician to assist him in popping the question to his girlfriend in the middle of one of the UK's busiest shopping centres. Gavin, 37, and his girlfriend Stephanie, 26, were shopping in Westfield London when they were approached by a magician who offered to show them a trick, but this was not your average ‘pick a card’ routine. The magician wrote Stephanie and Gavin’s name on a card, folded it up and asked Stephanie to clutch it to her heart. He then asked the couple to hold hands before telling Stephanie open up the card and read the words that were on it – ‘will you marry me?’ Gavin then got down on one knee and gifted her a diamond sparkler from Beaverbrooks – the jeweller that made the whole event possible.
‘I’ve always been one for romantic gestures so wanted to make sure the proposal was something really different and memorable’, Gavin said. He certainly set the bar high, we wonder what he has up his sleeve for the wedding. Congratulations are in order!
