As we wait for the first two episodes of the Sex And The City reboot, And Just Like That, to drop tomorrow, we couldn't help but wonder how bad the third Sex And The City film would have been if it was made.
Thankfully, it wasn't. The reasons are largely believed to be down to Kim Cattrall's feud with Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim's refusal to be in a third film. (Which makes sense, as of course, Kim isn't going to be in the reboot either.)
While the first film was, well, questionable. The second film - where Carrie herself later admitted: 'I can see where we fell short on that movie, and I’m perfectly happy to say that publicly.'
But the third movie? Seriously, if it had ever been made, then it would have been a horror show. That is 100% certain.
You would have thought the writers would have been desperate to redeem themselves after the chaos of SATC 2. But no. In case you forgot, the leaked script for SATC 3 showed that Mr. Big would die (which, as much as we might not like him, he is SATC, and what would be the point without his on on-off romance with Carrie).
But worst of all? Miranda's son, Brady, at 14-years-old would sext Samantha. A plot line so terrible it makes me want to cry at my laptop. No wonder Kim didn't want to be involved as a source told E News: 'Kim never wanted to really do the movie to begin with. It was a combination of not great money and a bad storyline for Samantha.'
Anyway, thank goodness we're getting And Just Like That instead. From what we know so far, neither of these horrendous plot points are set to happen.
