If you’ve not started watching The White Lotus yet a) where have you been? b) Welcome to your new TV addiction. Full of shocks, twisted comedy and eye-roll inducing characters, it’s the kind of series that demands your full attention. But that said, The White Lotus is one of those show’s that will have you constantly Googling the cast. It’s a real mashup of familiar faces, (hello Jennifer Coolidge, we love to see you), to the ones you know you’ve seen before, but you just...can’t...quite...place…
The Familiar Faces of The White Lotus S2
Theo James
Undeniably the heart throb of White Lotus season two, you might recognise Theo James as the handsome Turkish diplomat Kemal Pamuk in Downton Abbey, Tobias Eaton (aka Four) in Divergent, or even James from The Inbetweeners movie. Seriously, remember how mean he was to Jane at the boat party?
Meghann Fahy
Honestly, we couldn't have been more thrilled to see Meghann Fahy slated as Daphne for this season of White Lotus. She has been our girl crush ever since we saw her rummaging around the fashion cupboard as Sutton Brady on The Bold Type. She's the break out star of season two - we're calling it now.
Will Sharpe
Will Sharpe isn't just an actor - he's a writer, too. You may have seen his darkly comic and seriously brilliant 2016 film Flowers co-starring no other than Olivia Colman and Sophie Di Martino. He's seriously clever and endlessly interesting. But what is his White Lotus character Ethan doing all the time on his computer?
Aubrey Plaza
Parks and Rec fans rise up. After making Leslie Knope's life chaotic in the Pawnee government and setting pulses racing in the thrillers Ingrid Goes West, Black Bear and Emily The Criminal, Aubrey Plaza is back on our screens as the surly Harper Spiller. But is she in a mood? Or is everyone around her insufferable?
Jennifer Coolidge
She's been bending and snapping as Paulette Parcelle in Legally Blonde since 1999. Also known as Stifler's Mom from American Pie, but after her incredible performance as the lonely, heartbroken Tanya McQuoid in White Lotus; let's finally use her real name, it's the least Jennifer Coolidge deserves after quite literally stealing the show.
Jon Gries
Tanya's husband aka Jon Gries is acting seriously suspicious in season two of White Lotus and you might be scratching your head at where you've seen him before as well as what he's up to... Well, we can answer one of those questions: Jon was Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite, appeared in Seinfield, Criminal Minds and (of course) White Lotus season one.
Haley Lu Richardson
Taking on the role of Tanya's long-suffering assistant, Haley Lu Richardson might be ringing bells in your mind. Last spring she had our tear ducts in overdrive as she played a teen with cystic fibrosis alongside Cole Sprouse in Netflix's Five Feet Apart. You may have also spotted her in Shake It Up, Split, Support the Girls, Jane the Virgin and Unpregnant.
F Murray Abraham
An on-screen legend, academy award winner F Murray Abraham is known for his roles in Star Trek, Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel and Isle of Digs, was nominated for two Emmys for his role in Homeland and most recently appeared in Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities as well as Lady and the Tramp, Moon Knight and Mythic Quest.
Adam DiMarco
You'd almost have to live with your eyes closed to not have seen Adam DiMarco on screen at some point in your life. Best known as Christopher Moltisanti in The Sopranos, he's also appeared in The Lovely Bones, Goodfellas, Jungle Fever, Lucifer, One Night in Miami and even Shark Tale.
Simona Tabasco
Another up and coming star, Simona Tabasco is set to cause trouble amongst the couples in this season of White Lotus and has previously appeared in the Rome-based drama Luna Park, the marriage-in-crisis drama The Ties, a crime-comedy Bob & Marys as well as numerous other Italian shows.
Beatrice Grannò
Playing an Italian singer in search of fame, you might have spotted Beatrice Grannò in the Sky original Security, the Italian drama The Time of Indifference, Netflix's teen superhero drama Zero and the thriller Tornare.
Tom Hollander
Remember the moody writer Tim moves in with in About Time? That's Tom Hollander. The familiar face has also popped up in Pirates of the Caribbean, Pride & Prejudice, The King's Man, In The Loop and The Night Manager. And if you like your winter dramas, you'll have also seen him in Taboo, Baptiste, Us and the Ipcress File.
Leo Woodall
Playing Tom Hollander's nephew on the show, British actor Leo Woodall might seem familiar in White Lotus after appearances in Vampire Academy, Man Down and Cherry and soap favourite Holby City. He's also going to be starring in One Day with This Is Going To Hurt's Ambika Mod. So, watch this space.
