Casa Amor still exists as the ultimate Love Island twist, having first been introduced in series three to test the islanders' loyalty. But in 2021, producers decided that a second villa was not enough to stir the pot. So, along came movie night.
Just as the islanders begin to move past the trail of destruction that Casa leaves in its wake, they are brought back down to earth with a front-row viewing of controversial villa antics. Antics which are notorious for igniting rows, raising a lot of eyebrows, and often leaving the islanders questioning their partner and pals.
With the latest instalment bound to be coming to ITV2 screens soon, Grazia has looked back at the most explosive scenes which have left us reaching for the popcorn.
The Jake Escape
The debut movie night. Jake Cornish notably squirmed in his seat when the girls selected, 'The Jake Escape' from the listings.
'Are you s*itting yourself?' asked Teddy Soares.
'Yeah,' Jake replied.
And so he should have been. The clip showed Jake - Liberty Poole's boyfriend at the time - egging on the boys to take the 'once in a lifetime' opportunity by getting to know the other girls who entered the villa during Casa Amor.
'None of you have a label on you. If I was in your shoes, I'd be thinking, "Fuck it, if I've got something better, I want to chat to them and get to know them a bit more." If you've not got a girlfriend, you are doing bits,' he urged.
Another snippet showed Jake encouraging Liam Reardon - who was coupled up with Millie Court - to pull Lillie Haynes for a chat. 'What have you got to lose? There is nothing wrong with that, bruv.'
Immediately finding fault, Faye Winter sarcastically quoted his previous compliment, 'You're all like sisters to me', going on to fume, 'I hope no one treats your sister like you've treated us. You would be f*cking livid Jake.'
Struggling to understand his wrongdoing, Jake retorted, 'I've got nothing to say, my blood is boiling.'
She's Not All That
Jake, welcome once again to the firing line. Here, a past conversation he had with the boys about Liberty was exposed, and it was a tough one for the blonde Brummie to hear.
He said of her, 'The biggest thing is the personality. Her personality is mint, I can't fault it' at which point Liberty exclaimed, 'Oh my God!'
He continued, 'There's not that 100 per cent where I look at her and go... I haven't got that girl there where I'm like, 'F*ck I want to rip your clothes off. I don't want to fake any s*it, you know what I mean?' I wanna be here thinking, 'I really do like her' when really I'm lying to myself.
A tearful Liberty then pulled him for a chat, telling him how hurtful and brutal the comments were.
Teddy Player One
The following clip and the aftermath left the villa in carnage - and Ofcom swamped with over 25,000 complaints.
Faye watched Teddy - who slept on the daybed during Casa - engage in a flirtatious conversation with Clarisse Juliettè.
'I am officially single. It would be wrong for me not to see what could happen.
'There's sexual attraction. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who realises that in this conversation right now. I don't trust you,' were his remarks.
What followed was an expletive tirade from Faye, with reports claiming that the Devon-born star swore a total of 75 times and used the work f*ck an average of more than once a minute.
'I'm done with this conversation. If you wanna speak about my reaction based on your actions, you can f*k off. My reaction was only based on your f*king actions, so f*k off,' was just one of her lines.
Faye has since apologised for her outburst, expressing deep remorse at how she handled the situation.
Silence Of The Dams
Last year, Dami Hope rattled a lot of cages with his Casa antics, and when his partner Indiyah Polack had her trip to the movies, she learned of his three-way kiss with Summer Botwe and Chyna Mills.
The clip heard Dami saying to the girls, 'Are we having a three-way kiss or what?', which they took him up on.
'Don't worry I will deal with you later,' Indiyah snapped across the table.
And she stuck to her word. 'I'm seeing you in 4k doing up a three-way kiss. It's just embarrassing.'
Having her say, Summer then added, 'If your heart was with Indiyah then you shouldn't have behaved with me how you did at Casa.'
I Know What Ekin-Su Did Last Summer
Davide Sanclimenti was so desperate to know what Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu got up to while they were apart that he told the boys to 'open their ears' in case he missed something.
The film showed Ekin-Su in bed with Casa bombshell George Tasker. 'You're a nightmare,' he joked. A flustered Ekin replied, 'I'm too hot', and then said in real-time, 'Yeah I pushed him away.'
The clip continued with Ekin telling George that they are just friends, before it forwarded to the next day, when George claimed to the other boys that there was 'touching going on'. He gestured that their hands were in very specific places, saying, 'It was sort of like my hand there, her hand on there. Sort of having... a little play around.'
Ekin-Su later checked in with George that he hadn't told the boys, pleading, 'I'd appreciate it if you didn't.'
The conversation continued with her saying, 'It was hot in there. We're both attractive people, we were in the same bed together. And you know... cuddling me, my leg was there, my arm... Do you know what I mean? Nothing happened. We can laugh it off.'
While Davide was visibly annoyed, Indiyah even said, 'You kept that f*cking quiet.'
The Italian then dished out part of his famous line, 'You're a liar', and Ekin replied, 'I'm not even entertaining it.'
She's Just Not That Into You
Luca Bishsaw red over Gemma Owen's movie clip, which was split into two parts. The first replayed the moment Dami attempted to 'read her mind', with Luca out of earshot.
'You feel like Luca probably likes you more than you like him,' Dami began. 'You're happy with Luca right now. I feel like it would take a lot for your head to turn. But there is a small chance that it probably could if something came in that was 100 per cent you. I feel like you're still open in a sense. Probably more open than Luca.'
Gemma replied, 'That was quite impressive. I don't think you're that far wrong.'
The second showed a conversation she shared with Billy Brown. He asked her if he could feed her, adding, 'Will I get told off?'
Alluding to his arm around her, Gemma joked, 'Yeah, so get off me', to which Billy questioned, 'On the sly?' Gemma further joked, 'Mates can't hug.'
With a mouth full of popcorn, Luca snapped, 'How f*cking muggy. I got made out to be like a f*cking prick.'
Billy attempted to assure him it 'wasn't that deep' but Luca insisted he was '100 per cent bringing it up'.
The fishmonger went on to berate Billy. 'F*cking don't deny it, you were f*cking flirting.'
In a final parting shot, he said, 'Drop me a f*cking bombshell in here now.'
