Christmas television is the gift that keeps on giving. And, this year, we’re even going to be blessed with a brand new Gavin and Stacey episode for the festive season. But, here’s the bad news: unlike other Christmases, there might not a Love Island Christmas reunion. So we might not hear anyone scream 'CHALDISH!' at Michael.
‘We haven’t heard anything,’ Yewande Biala{
Yewande was talking at the launch of her clothing edit with In The Style, which she has worked on with other 2019 alumni Francesca Allen, Anna Vakili, Amy Hart and Joanna Chimonides.
Speaking about her thoughts on there being two series next year, the reality star said that she thought the first series was going to do ‘really well'.
‘I’m looking forward to watching it,’ she said. ‘I just feel like after that, the next series might not do so well.'
Next year, the first winter Love Island isgoing to happen in January{
At the time of the announcement, Paul Mortimer, Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions at ITV, said, ‘Off the back of a record-breaking year, we're delighted to be bringing an extra series of our biggest and sunniest show to the 2020 schedule. Love Island has proven yet again to be the perfect format that engages younger audiences. In response to this viewer appetite, a new batch of young singletons will deliver some highly anticipated post-Christmas romance and drama from our new and luxurious location.’
Grazia Daily has contacted ITV for comment as to whether there will be a Love Island reunion.
