It all kicked off last night when rumours about how genuine Jessie is started to spread around the villa like a wildfire. Everyone involved was 'moving like a snake', to quote Will, who seemed to forget his farmyard origins and adopt a London accent in one foul swoop.
The foundations for a chaotic few days were well and truly laid last night, and everyone offered their own take on whether Jessie's genuine, whether Casey is in the wrong and whether Maxwell had a right to be sh*t stirring. Of course, tonight's episode appears to be no different.
In tonight's episode, the new Will pulls Maxwell for a chat. He says: 'Max, can we have a chat mate? I'm livid, I'm not going to lie.' And we've all seen Will's dance moves, so we expect Maxwell was quaking in his boots. He then says, 'I've just been pulled and told that you said Jessie was fake. Where is all this coming from? What's everyone saying because I'm completely confused why this word fake is going around.'
Maxwell then crawls out from the bus Casey threw him under to try and explain himself. We can't wait to see how that goes. Meanwhile, Samie and Claudia pull Jessie for a chat to tell her what's been going on since, ermm, all this drama is about her. Claudia explains to Jessie that not only have Casey and Maxwell been discussing whether she's real or not, but Liv and Lana have too. Jessie asks, 'who has it come from? Liv do you reckon? Are the other girls buying into it or not saying anything?'
The girls then gather at the fire pit to put the rumours to rest and Jessie seems rightly keen to gain clarity on where they all came from. It's clear that the chat gets a bit heated as Lana says 'this doesn't need to be a screaming match, this is a lot over nothing.' In order to deescalate the situation, Jessie asks Liv to chat privately but she declines. Jessie then says 'so you're happy to walk over to the day beds and speak to a whole group of people about how you think I'm questionable but not have a discussion with me?' She has a point...
If all that's not enough for one episode, the islanders also receive a very important text message. It reads: 'Islanders, it's time for you to get ready and leave the villa, as you're off to the Island Beach Club to party! #SunSandAndSecrets #StayOutTheShade.'
As they excitedly get ready, the islanders seem to forget what the annual 'beach party' usually means. It's bad news for (nearly) everyone as host Maya Jama returns to tell them who the public's least favourite couples are. She appears on the balcony and says: 'You all look like you're having a cut little time, sorry to crash the party, could you all line up in your couples please?
'I'm sure you're all asking yourselves why I'm here, I've got some very important news. The public have been voting for the most compatible couple. The couples with the fewest votes risk being dumped from the Island tonight.' Aaaand the party's over!
Elsewhere in the episode, Casey and Rosie go on a date and Claudia confronts Casey (again) about kissing Rosie. Some things never change. And there's a chance exclusivity is on the cards for our new faves Kai and Sanam. In all honesty it sounds like a tiring episode, but one we don't want to miss.
