Love Island is bringing back the A Couple Of Sorts challenge tonight. In case you need a refresher, the cast has to rank decisions on numerous categories in first, second and third place, based on what they think the public has opted for.
The categories are purposely chosen to cause tension, such as 'most one-sided couples' and 'couples most likely to have their heads turned'. But gaining public insight is not always delivered in this format. In previous seasons, we've had Twitter Bingo, Online Buzz and News Splash, so we have unpicked ALL the standout moments from this juicy challenge bracket.
Georgia Steel: 'I Was Loyal'
In 2018, still pretty miffed about Josh Denzel's actions in Casa (choosing to couple up with Kaz Crossley), Georgia made this known when it came to the 'most loyal couple'. When someone suggested Josh and Kaz, Georgia - who was coupled up with Sam Bird and became famous for her repetitive use of the word 'loyal' - said, 'No offence Josh, I don't think you're on there hunny.'
Josh replied sassily, 'I didn't ask to be on there, don't worry.'
'When Josh went to Casa Amor, I was loyal. I was on a date and came back to Sam,' said Georgia in defence of being on the placing podium.
When Josh and Kaz - who didn't step up to first, second or third - secured silver by the public, Georgia - who came nowhere with Sam - joked that she was 'fuming' in the beach hut.
Later on, it was suggested that Georgia and Sam move from third to second when it came to 'couples that are likely to cheat'. An unimpressed Georgia said, 'This is p*ssing me off.'
Megan Barton-Hanson: 'That's Really P*ssed Me Off'
In the same season, Megan and her partner Wes Nelson were voted as the most annoying couple. In the beach hut, she vented, 'That's really p*ssed me off.'
The pair were also rated the most likely to cheat, which angered Wes. 'The cheating one did p*ss me off because that is definitely something I'd never do.'
Jake Cornish: 'It's Not Nice To Hear'
Jake and his partner Liberty Poole were voted number one for 'one-sided couple' in 2021. Jake tried to reassure Liberty but did admit it wasn't nice to hear. Meanwhile, she called it 'savage' and confessed she 'never in a million years' expected her and Jake to be 'up there'. 'I'm actually really confused,' she said.
Molly-Mae Hague: 'I Actually Am Fuming'
During Online Buzz, the 2019 crew had to guess the blank. Molly-Mae was not happy when her intentions towards Tommy Fury were questioned in a tweet. 'Nah Tommy deserves more than Molly-Mae. She doesn't like him, she likes 50k', the tweet read, with Tom Walker guessing the couple's names.
'I actually am fuming,' she said in the beach hut. 'I'm not gonna hide it, I am fuming.' Then to her islanders she said, 'I came in for one thing and it's not money.'
Michael Griffiths called the tweet, 'savage'.
It was also awkward for Anton Danyluk, as he ended up being the missing piece to this tweet: 'What __ said about Molly playing a game was bang on'.
Molly-Mae's response was, 'It's a load of rubbish, I'm not playing a game.' Anna Vakili had her back, saying, 'Just because he fancies her.'
Awkwardly laughing it off, Anton said, 'Yeah that's what it probably was.'
Tommy Fury: 'That's A Load Of B*llocks'
'__ and __ are meant to be, look at them!' ended up being about Lucie Donlan and Tommy. While the boxer laughed and said, 'That's a load of b*llocks', Lucie watched on awkwardly.
Olivia Attwood: 'You Look Like A F*cking Twat'
In 2017, Olivia didn't take it too well when Stormzy tweeted that her then-partner Chris Hughes 'deserves better'. When she thought he was whispering to Amber Davies, she snapped, 'you look like a f*cking twat.'
Chris bit back, 'Liv, wind your f*cking neck in. It's a f*cking tweet, it's a game.'
Later, it emerged via a tweet that Liv had told Chris she loved him, 'roughly 6 hours' after she said she would sleep with Mike [Thalassitis] in the hideaway if no one would find out.
'What a f*cking melt,' Chris responded. 'It's just sex guys, chill out f*cking hell,' Liv quipped.
'I can't even look at her,' Chris admitted, saying he would tell Tyla [Carr] he'd like to 'shag her' in the hideaway.
Olivia Bowen: 'It Just P*ssed Me Off So Much'
Olivia - now married to Alex Bowen - found herself on the receiving end of two tweets about her relationship with him in 2016.
One was that she was going to get 'pied' the minute she left the villa, and the other tweet read, 'LOOOOOL Alex you didn't say you were happy with Olivia you said you had a new bird downstairs.'
'It just pissed me off so much,' she said, getting emotional. 'I can't hide how I feel in my face. My face says it all, all the time.'
Siânnise Fudge: 'He Should Have Respected Me A Lot More'
in 2021, Siânnise found out that Luke Trotman had been gossiping about their antics in the hideaway. The news headline discovered in the game News Splash read, 'Love Island fans predict heartbreak for Siânnise Fudge after Luke T tells the boys she got naked in the hideaway.'
A visibly annoyed Siânnise opened up in the beach hut, 'Whether I got naked or not, that's mine and his business. He should have respected me a lot more than going around bragging about it.'
Then turning to Luke she said, 'But did I get fully naked though? I don't think I did.'
Luke replied, 'Yeah but I was naked.' In the beach hut he added, 'We were naked! But I don't know, is that bad?'
