They say you can never be too prepared, but Meghan and Prince Harry have really taken the biscuit. Though the newlyweds are on the other side of the world - currently on a 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga - and only a few months pregnant, the pair have reportedly found a nanny for their first-born.
It’s been reported that the couple enlisted the help of their wedding guests Amal and George Clooney to find the safest pair of hands to look after their little one. According to a report, they’ve picked ‘super nanny’ Connie Simpson who has also cared for Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s offspring during her 30-year career.
If Nanny Connie, as she is known, does receive the royal call, she will follow in the footsteps of many royal caretakers before her. Prince Harry himself was looked after by Tiggy Legge-Bourke, who attended his wedding to Meghan earlier this year. While his brother Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, have hired Maria Borrollo who has been nicknamed ‘Posh Poppins’.
Rumours swill that Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland will be moving to the UK to help the couple look after their child, which is due in spring next year. If Meghan and Prince Harry follow Kate and Will's lead it's likely they will be quite hand's on parents, doing the school run and taking their kid on royal excursions and allowing them to meet visiting dignitaries. But, Nanny Connie is a published author - her book The Nanny Connie Way: Secrets to Mastering the First Four Months of Parenthood came out earlier this year - will bring a professional expertise to the dynamic.
