We Tried To Use Astrology To Predict Who Is Going To Win The Election

So, there's going to be an election on the 12th of December. Apparently for Christmas we're getting a newly formed parliament. The question is who'll be in charge of it. Now, we realise that you could read lots of assessments of their policies, or you could look at the odds from the bookies. But there's also the option of looking at the stars. Or rather, having someone else look at the stars and then tell us what is in store.

Amazingly, Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson have the same star sign - Gemini - which in terms of astrology means that they both have a duality about their souls, but in terms of predictions makes things a bit complicated. So we've analyzed their birthdays as well as their horoscopes to try to get some insight into what is coming next.

Jeremy Corbyn

According to Horoscope.co, 'natives born on May 26 birthdays are imaginative, analytical and tactful. They are versatile people, in a continuous transformation, thanks to their desire to improve themselves perpetually. These Gemini natives are eloquent individuals, always ready to mingle with new people.'

So that would suggest that Jez is well suited to his job in politics. But then he's been doing it for about 15,000 years, so we kind of knew that. In terms of his chances of winning the election, the stars seem to think it looks good, saying that people with Jez's birthday are 'persistent and courageous'.

His November - December Horoscope says: 'Mercury stations direct on the twentieth, bringing forward movement in a work project or area of your life that has felt stalled'. Which sounds very fruitful, other than, the fact that Boris' says the same thing.

Boris Johnson

We're not going to lie. Boris's profile sounds very Prime Ministerial. Horoscope.co says: 'Natives born on the 19 June are some of the most communicative people there are, always ready to speak their minds. These Gemini natives are easygoing as they like to be surrounded by many people and always have someone on whom they can rely.'

That said, it also claims that people born on the 19 June are like to struggle with 'discerning from all the choices they are presented with'. Which isn't exactly ideal, what with that whole Brexit thing looming over us.

Horoscopes.com says that Boris's challenging days for the coming month will be the 5, 12 and 25 of December. Which, given that the election is on the 12, sounds kind of true.

Jo Swinson

It's not just a two horse race guys, Jo could still swing it. According to her birthday she is a 'stimulating individual who knows how to motivate and empower other people into action.' Very political. However, worryingly 'these Aquarius natives are empathic and kind with most people they come in contact with, for no particular reason.'

Empathy and politics? It would never work.

Jo's Horoscope says: 'You’re in a new professional cycle as you enter November' which couldn't be more true. It also says, 'As Venus conjoins Jupiter and Mars opposes Uranus on November 24, your world is expanding, bringing fundamental changes. Dreams are coming true and illusions are falling apart.' Bloody hell these astrologers are good.

So, who is going to win?

We won't lie, Boris and Jeremy having the same star sign does rather cloud the prediction. Clearly the two front runners for number 10 are both going to have a high octane, high stress few weeks. It seems like the stars are predicting that it's going to be an explosive ride for Jo Swinson, too.

We reckon the stars narrowly favour Boris, but honestly that's got more to do with the bookmarkers predictions than the stars.
